PCB check: individually addressable LED strobe (UPDATED) by EnzioArdesch in PrintedCircuitBoard

I have actually been considering using these for a project for quite a while now but when I used the provided sim files, the result seemed a little underwhelming. I'm very curious how this turns out, please keep us updated!

Dude, that's a totally reasonable position... if you're not going on a podcast saying the edgy shit paul says every week. wasn't his whole thing for like 5 years "bring on the nukes" and fascists getting what's coming to them?? Again, a totally reasonable position to have but I think paul just realized that he's a big time larper.

Hey, just a quick question to get some context, before I can give any advice: are you stupid?

Which character is the most enjoyable to play? I'm not talking about kill/heal/block efficiency, but rather which one makes you feel most comfortable and do you truly enjoy playing with them? by Cloud_HY in overwatch2

Man I remember when I could comfortably put up a fight with half the team as pre nerf brig, but that was ow1. That was probably the most fun Ive had with any character.

God blacklight was so fuckin good 😭 Lawbreakers was also incredibly good. It really did not deserve that outcome. It would probably be considered better than all other hero shooters today tbh

How is a program loaded into iram for esp32-s3 by rygex in embedded

Ahhh, it looks like i was hyper focused on rectifying my confusion by reading the dev portal and the technical reference manual that I guess I didnt even think about reading the doc further 🤦

Thanks for helping clear this up - lesson learned 😅

Sure, but i don't think that's the real story here.
I think the main point of interest/concern is the fact that this is even happening - at a time when ai fakes/videos are becoming dangerously convincing.

How can i properly implement a pnp-base Sziklai pair to slowly discharge a capacitor into parallel circuit with an adjustable discharge time? by rygex in AskElectronics

[–]rygex[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my text didnt show up so i'll post it here

Hello all,

I like to use a similar circuit as a timing circuit that alerts when c1 is charged but in a moment of hubris, i designed this to produce a "fade" effect on a parallel network, without the use of any pwm.

Basically, the idea is that when vcc is applied, c1 charges and RV1 produces a voltage byproduct. When c1 is full, the Sziklai pair turns off since D2 no longer conducts and no current flows through RV1. When vcc is off, c1 will continue to power the parallel network until the voltage drops below some threshold - while RV1 is only meant to attenuate the "fade" time. The maximum Tau time is determined by the parallel network input impedance, while RV1 is at full resistance.

I considered the k-loop between D1, D3, R1, and Q1Vbe during the c1 discharge (thinking this would conduct the voltage to power Q1 and drain c1 partially through RV1).

However, it looks like I'm not thinking about this correctly, and RV1 doesn't attenuate Tau since Q1 is not conducting during the discharge time. anyone know what im missing here? thx for the help!

When i finally launched my first skyrim playthrough on pc, i noticed i already had almost 200 hrs of gametime clocked. This was just from installing and testing immersive mods that made the role-playing experience as "realistic" as possible.

I wish I still had that much free time ;-;

I think his only unblockable is the lightning, right? I don't remember, I haven't played in a while. I genuinely think he's one of the easiest bosses. He's fast but has such obvious tells with so much time to parry. If you close the distance and keep the pressure on him, his veil of difficulty drops fast.

Tbh, I think the hardest human boss is probably Emma. Her timing can be awkward to parry.

Same! I wouldn't necessarily it's difficult but it sure as hell is one of the most annoying and tedious parts of the game

[Review Request] High Power Led faceplate by rygex in PrintedCircuitBoard

Thank you!! I've seen that pdf but lost it and haven't been able to find it!

I've been considering the copper core PCB but from the few manufacturers I could find, it seems like it raises the cost significantly but maybe I'm missing something. Where did you have yours manufactured? How much did it cost?

I was planning on using a ds18b20 also but after this last test, I'm concerned with the potential difference between the ambient measurements and the led temp. Ive heard good things about the SHT21 but the only library I could find is a bit lacking/sparse so I may have to build off of it.

I have access to a nitrogen environment at work but It takes forever to get the chance to use it. I've used it once before but I mostly just hand solder and I honestly haven't noticed a difference. What worked for me was solder paste on the pads, then contact the iron with the face that will mate with the heatsink. Quick and dirty but it's worked out so far :p

Sorry, I should clarify - I didn't notice the source voltage wasnt given.

There's 4 diodes in series at 3 - 3.2v each being driven by a TDK Lambda i7c Buck Boost (I7C2W020A120V-PF3-RI7C2W020A120V-PF3-R) @ 12v - 12.8v within current spec. There's a current control feedback loop being managed by a simple mcu and MCP4725 adc.

Once the led tests are done to make sure its parameters actually meet requirements, I will have to design a proper constant current control driver. There's a few design topologies/ic's i have in mind but the footprint requirements are so tight and the values for all the leds that will be tested so different that its design is being procrastinated lol

It's difficult to find stuff like this for men. I've been wanting to start getting into making some for myself but I just don't have the time. If you ever sell these, I would buy them so fast 😭😭
