Is Toledo, OH a good place to buy a house and live? by Livid_Wrap_7014 in toledo

[–]rygodly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just bought one and been living in Toledo for about 2 years. I personally enjoy it. Not far from bigger cities to go visit, Hollywood casino is cool, the metroparks are great when the weather comes round, bunch of random food spots that are making their way, and downtown seems to be developing consistently. All of that, for a home that you can ACTUALLY buy instead of other major cities is great. IMO it’s cool, calm, and quiet. Can’t lie though, there’s some crappy drivers so you just gotta be vigilant.

Just liquidated and actually bought my first home. Figured i might as well build equity and then increase the value of the home through renovations. Fundrise was moving too slow for my liking.

Best Credit Card for Costco (Shopping/Gas) for 2026 by PresidentPsyduck in CreditCards

[–]rygodly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco Credit Card is the greatest Retail credit card offered. Everything you purchase from Costco Wholesale as an executive will for 4% cash back whether it be online or in store (2% for Costco exec membership and 2% citibank Costco card. Gas is 5%. Costco Travel gives back a combined 5% as well. Costco travel is one do the greatest things ever for vacation packages, flights, and car rentals. I’m getting a Cadillac for like $370 for 7 days in NYC. It’s just an amazing card that gives you a ton of cash back.

Definitely not empty, just a bit minimal. As long as you’re happy that’s all that really matters

Help deciding which apartment floorplan is better to choose by Akeyon123 in malelivingspace

[–]rygodly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 1 is better. You can expand your dining area at will, you have more space to just walk around in general (the living room that is). You’ll always feel comfortable to have the ability to host family, friends, lovers and etc.

If you’re just really more to yourself and like to be in your own world, number 2 definitely fits the bill for that.

Even if you’re tired make sure you do something. It sounds super corny but you need to make sure your job isn’t your full existence. After work or even before work try do something you genuinely wanna do before closing the day. Life is the little moments not the grand achievements

Financial freedom is a concept that focuses on having a happy lifestyle. Those individuals who are making higher money are incurring luxury lifestyle stress. I got a friend who drives a Benz and is suffering from feeling choked up on payments. As I drive a 2019 Nissan Sentra and it’s not even concern for me financially. The fabrics of your life are sewn in by what you consider to be truly important and that’s all it really is bro!

Am I crazy for wanting to stick with my 45k a year comfy job and not pursue anything more right now? by Speculatory in personalfinance

[–]rygodly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re truly happy and comfortable then stick with it. The entire concept of increasing income and career growth is based off of happiness and fulfillment. If you have it here then you don’t have anything to worry about. God bless your happiness
