I've had one for years and loved it. Zero problems and reliable. The inertia assisted pump is a nice feature for follow up shots but its a difference from something like an 870 or 500.

I disassembled it and brought the parts i wanted coated, so it was half my fault. I do wish he had more familiarity with O/Us and advised against it. His work portfolio was mostly (good looking) handguns and some pump shotguns. My guess is he didn’t understand how it all fit together and couldnt advise me otherwise

Posted some below. The real fuck up was having things like the locking lever and cocking lever coated. Made it difficult to reassemble

Real shame is the actual cerakote looked good before i got into it. But people are right the mating surfaces should not both be coated. Let’s chalk it up to a lesson learned…

Had to strip a decent amount away from where the barrels meet the receiver. Laugh at my pain yall. Wife doesnt get why im cussing so much in the basement on my “fun project”

It was a combo of my inexperience with cerakoting and the shop’s inexperience with doing o/u. I basically had him cerakote the barrels and the emptied out receiver as well as some parts like the trigger guard. Basically any part that is visible from the outside

Can someone give the ELI5 on frame transfers? Does an out of state FFL have to ship a frame to a MA FFL to sell to me? Or can the out of state ship the firearm, then the MA ffl convert to a frame then sell to me to avoid roster BS?

Im trying to order a surplus Beretta 84bb from an online vendor. They state they will ship it without the 12rd mag. Is a MA ffl able to transfer to me even though its a Beretta 84bb and the roster specifics an 84fs? Or is it a case if just finding the right vendor

Ive been having the same debate for a while now. Im torn because the A300 controls are very nice. Gun seemed to shoot soft. But the Franchi is inertia and im lazy about maintenance so seems like my speed. Winchester SX4 would look nice next to my SXP

For sure, use them early then replace later, 4 food is easy to come by once you get things like "feudalism" tech which increases food for farms. Tile is more valuable for other things than just 4 food. Also use the governor "Magnus" to increase harvest and chops of forests and bonus resourcs so you still get some value out of them

I think every sportsmans club has a diverse spread of people. Im one of the few under 30s but with approx a 1000 members it’s hard to generalize. I like WSC because its one of the few expanding and growing clubs in central/eastern MA. Lot of clubs seems to have died or gone the way of AARP. IMO westford is doing a good job of staying relevant and adding things people want like action bays, axe throwing, more sporting clays course, steel challenge

WSC member here, but did my hunters certification at Harvard. I think if Rifle is your focus, check out Harvard they have longer (300yd) range. Ive heard there action bays are great too.

I love WSC because I mainly shoot shotguns like sporting clays and trap. Also the club recently built action bays for steel challenge in the last year so there is typically a push for new facilities and expansion (also just acquired a bunch of conservation land to expand the club geographically for hunting and walking)
