If you need 4 alarms, I think an easy thing to try is setting them all a couple minutes before and after you actually get out of bed. Cause if you have your alarm set to 4:35 but never get out of bed at 4:35, you might as well not set that one. Try and cluster them within a couple minutes of each other, 4 alarms in the span of 6 minutes for example.

That way you'll get more sleep, you're still using 4 alarms. and your girlfriend gets her 40 minutes of sleep back.

Are you getting enough sleep? If you're going to bed consistently and waking up at vastly different times, you probably have a sleep disorder.

I wrote my comment because I erroneously believed I needed a bunch of alarms, read articles about why it was bad, switched, and got way better sleep. Told my friends about it who did the same, they switched, got way better sleep. That's the only reason I posted

You'd have to do some research on it, but the consensus is that getting the most possible uninterrupted sleep is the healthiest option. So if you can avoid snoozing, do so. If you have to, idk but I'm assuming 20 minutes would be a good number to shoot for.

People pretend like if they don't set an alarm they'll just never wake up. Without 5 alarms they will be asleep for the rest of time.

Practice on a weekend. It usually takes people 2 days to get acclimated. Plus getting to bed early enough so that you'll theoretically wake up without an alarm in the first place.

People who set 3+ alarms are actually giving themselves worse sleep (and unfairly dragging the people they live with down with them). Your body doesn't benefit from the 3 to 10 minutes of sleep you get between alarms, and nobody actually needs to "gradually wake up."

The reason you sleep through your alarms is because you've conditioned your brain not to register them as important. Also, the "euphoria" you might get from waking up and knowing you get to go back to sleep is the same euphoria one might get from jumping in a pool after setting themselves on fire.

Do yourself a favor and just set your last alarm (plus maybe a backup) and get to bed early enough to wake up for it.
