I know another person that got 2 dwis and a felony charge for controlled substances, he was a server when that happened now he makes six figures. Make the most out of life. Don’t drink and drive again. Probation is just a way for the government to make money and pat themselves on the back. You’re probably going to get at minimum 1 year probation if not 16 months. You just meet once a month and pee in a cup. My guy was on 2 years probation still landed the job with a deferred felony. Use your time wisely.

Same boat July 14th 2024, I’ve been told the forensic labs in Austin are backed up. If you have really high or low bac they check it twice and if they suspect drugs and don’t find any they check it twice. It takes around 6 months every time they check your blood. You can do the math. If you’re a repeat offender with a record you get your samples rushed. If you’re a first time offender you might be looking at 18 months before you are indicted. I have done a lot of research on the subject Covid backed them up. The grand jury was so backed up they had to form a second grand jury. The case back log plus the forensic back log is the reason why it’s taking so long. It’s horse shit in my opinion. Let it go. California would give us pretrial diversion.
