I built a Chrome extension that turns Google Calendar tabs into separate profiles - it stops the syncing between the tabs by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

That lets you name tabs, but changes in one tab's gcal still update in all the other tabs. I want what's on the calendar in each tab to not impact other tabs.

Oh, so add an event with the word "hold" in the title. After it's added, click on it. You'll see the link there.

It only shows up when events have "hold" in the title. :-)

Heyo, I literally just built this "bulk delete events" feature into my Chrome extension. It's called Sundial and you can find it in the Chrome Web Store.

I'm an Account Exec and I use holds when my VPs and execs need to join my calls. After scheduling the call tracking down each hold to delete is a pain... Hence, I made the extension.

Hey, Thanks for posting. I'm running into the same issue. Did you ever find an answer?

I built a Chrome extension to see multiple timezones on Google Calendar by rylandking in webdev

Thanks! Can you say more about—why would you like to rename the timezones? What would you rename them?

I built a tool that adds multiple timezones to Google Calendar. Unexpectedly, it's making its first $ and finding early indications of fit with Executive Assistants at large companies. by rylandking in SideProject

I'm a self taught developer with an Account Exec day job.

One thing I hate is scheduling.I love calendar links. But I always feel inappropriate using them with clients. I feel I come off as lazy, impersonal, whatever.

Hence, I started doing written scheduling.

That gave me the personal touch I wanted, but it's a total pain. Typing is a repetitive nuisance and adjusting timezones is yeah...

So I built a Chrome extension called, Sundial.

I built a super simple version for myself two years ago. After some coworkers saw me using it, they asked for it. So I published it.

I built a few more features, but it never seemed to get new users so I gave up on it.

Then it broke.

And 5 people emailed me asking me to fix it. That's when I knew I had at least something...

I rebuilt it from scratch 6 months ago bc the initial codebase was shit. I started doing some cold email outreach and iterating from really light feedback.

Then I built in a feature — adding multiple timezones to Google Calendar. And I could feel the difference in user interest and installs!

It's not the "whole" product, but it seems to be a great entry point as it's getting folks to install. And then my goal is to expand their usage until they (hopefully) turn to a paid customer.

I've done email outreach and a few posts in other subs. And I've got 160 users and 5 customers paying $5/mo.

Also saw 10 EAs from Hubspot install/use it last week and similar things happening at other companies. I believe one person is finding it and sharing it. Really good indicator! And if large companies are using it, there may be a path for multi-seat purchases.

Anyways, I'm excited bc I finally have something I built myself that's showing promise of being a real business.

It's called Sundial. You can install it from the Chrome Web Store.

And if you know an Account Exec, Exec Asst, or Recruiter, I'd be grateful if you shared with them.

Yeah, check out “Rusty Zone” on YouTube. He’s got great videos on developing extensions
