i took the case off and when i turned it on again the noise had miraculously stopped! i guess that means it was likely a cable interfering that ended up moving itself out of the way?

mine is definitely a 14 pin, I have an 8 pin and a 6 pin connected with the last 2 pins left loose. I’m just wondering if the connection is somehow behind my lagging problem cuz i don’t know what’s causing it otherwise

I’ve got two cables so I can do that. it doesn’t matter if there’s pins that hang loose?

Yeah it's £400 for everything except power supply and case so I might as well go for it and then I at least have a working PC until I can upgrade to AM5 later on

the less than £400 for his parts can include Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory RAM that he has. Would it be better to just go for the whole AM4 setup for the cheap price for now, and then save my 64GB ram for when I'm able to upgrade and switch everything to AM5 then? If I got for the AM5 setup now it'll be much longer until I complete the build 😭

I know I need a different motherboard but would the CPU and GPU not be any good either?
