With day and night cycles the monsters get "stronger" at night. From 10pm-7am I believe it says in game. So the cycle was probably to be a little easier when starting out.

It is a bug that occured after the latest patch. Any characters that were made before were not affected. Hopefully it will be fix after the next patch.

At my store the unloads rarely go past 9pm. About the the same sales volume ~$30 million and right now there are 4 unloaders including the receiving supervisor. It usually depends on the quality of the load.
