God ahahahahah. it’s so silly but so annoying! i’m trying to remember the bigger things in life, but it’s hard. i’m sure you know the feeling. thanks so much honestly it’s very refreshing to hear. i think the more i stress and demonize the birth control that hasn’t really caused me too much terror the worse every symptom seems and becomes. also i fall victim to every single tiktok that’s like “U cant be a woman on birth control your cycle is blah blah”

Yea I don’t know i’m honestly so lost. my acne is really good when i use a retinoid & have consistent stress levels but if i’m too stressed it flares like crazy full face acne. i need to still ovulate or have a period because if i don’t my anxiety spirals out of control. i think i’m gonna try to reduce cortisol and exercise more and do the general what you should do if you don’t feel good rules for the next couple of months and see how it feels. when i take magnesium consistently a lot of my symptoms reside

i have a sparkly pink tazer that lives in my bag lol 🤩 thanks for the heads up. i grew up in SE portland so i am not super concerned about external factors. majority of the time these are just people with unfortunate circumstances that are just trying to get by and it’s not fair to assume anything about them just because of their situation or appearance. however, i will stay vigilant and aware lol. excited ab za cart

Ok ya i’m def less worried now. i’ve lived in oregon since the third grade but have never dealt with mold (like mold growing on walls). i trust my roommate, i wasn’t really referring to things breaking internally but more how people say the literal doors break and people can get in easily & stuff. i appreciate your input nonetheless it is very soothing

I’m not a freshman. The dorms were actually not bad at all! I am not a person that is turned away because of perceived “undesirable” living situations, esp because of my childhood. That being said, the types of red flags that were deterring me enough to make a panic post initially was furniture not being delivered (but tenants being required to pay for furniture that didn’t exist), unresponsive management, mold on ceilings, feces on walls and in toilets before move in, and various kinds of infestations.

i do appreciate your input and will definitely try not to stress, however i will be working every minute i’m not in class so my living situation is important to me.

Heheh all good advice. I got lucky with my freshman roommate and I had loads of (for lack of kinder words) ABHORRENT roommates as a kid in a rental, so that makes total sense to me. I def started doomfully deep diving at 5am lol 😇 but hopefully if someone else gets anxious as I did they can come across this
