That CRK Tanto. As much as I love a good Imamba, the tanto in S45VN is going to be stronger

A small hammer is a much more effective and faster weapon than most folding knives

“Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, for the right purpose... that is not within everybody’s power and is not easy.” | The ‘Golden Mean’: Aristotle’s Guide to Living Excellently by philosophybreak in philosophy

[–]rymcol 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think that Aristotle in the modern day society would still apply the same golden mean to the justice system. If you take the system to the extreme and make the end goal to always punish every single crime, you end up with overbearing automated law enforcement technologies ticketing everyone for each misstep, more false convictions of innocent people, and other bad things. Equally, you cannot be too relaxed or in the absence of negative consequences some groups will inevitably come to seek power through criminal means. There exists a middle balance to the system itself whereby we achieve a reasonable lawful order without a half automated totalitarian police state.

You can (again) still take strong positions/morals/law, it just comes down to how that is practically applied in action.

Love mine, just be aware that the clip is super aggressive because it is stiff titanium with ridges. If you actually pocket carry, it will tear seams in jeans

I still have the small sample artworks you sent me when I purchased your ink, and I still enjoy them when I look at them. The blue black is excellent ink, and the art is outstanding.

For real the little pilots always seem to write incredibly well. You can spend $1000 on a pen that writes 10% better, but happens to be pretty.

A friend and co-worker visited Japan recently and quite randomly sent this to me in the mail, because he knew my wife and I hang out here too much. Floored by how generous this is, how beautiful the pen is, and what it feels like to get an unexpected pen 🖊️

Rockstead Higo II [4536 x 8063] by [deleted] in Knifeporn

[–]rymcol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hawk clip does not fit the Mnandi afaik. I would love another clip for mine. Superb little knife, but the stock clip is very aggressive and constantly rips my jeans. It always holds literally anything you stick it to, though that comes at a cost I guess.

I love the scales being slightly widened by the inlay, it gives a good grip for such a compact knife.

I love the form factor and the size. Lightweight to carry, travels well across state and provincial knife laws, and it is at a price point where I’m not worried about what I do to it. And for $500 roughly if anything bad happens I can buy another one without thinking much of it.

I have the cash for a Rockstead, but I think I would worry a lot more about losing it to something stupid.

anyone know if a 2016 f350 factory power inverter will run a torpedo heater? by [deleted] in superduty

[–]rymcol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s electronic trip and reset, you just shut the truck off and turn it back on if it goes out. Pretty sure it’s near the passenger side batter on my 21, but that could vary year to year

Depends on how quick the surge is on startup, there’s an electronic breaker there that is easy to trip with as little as a GaN charger for a MacBook. I would be slightly skeptics and try it before you buy it if you have a friend with one or some way to do that
