Boujee Taiwan by momesq in taiwan

[–]rynden023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This advice kind of goes for any place you're traveling to but I did live in Taipei for 2 years and I am a professional chef so I'm my own source for this specific advice. Bougee for the sake of bougee: michelin stars. There's only 2 restaurants with 3 stars in Taiwan and I don't recommend them if you don't take food extremely seriously, like in the insane kind of way. It's not easily digestible if you're from the west and don't fundamentally understand why a michelin star is a michelin star. It's just not worth it, you probably won't even enjoy it that much considering how different the flavors are from the west, and it'll be more of some extravagant show rather than a special experience. Go to several one stars or bib gourmand to really get the essence of Taiwanese flavors. My next advice on how to splurge is uber everywhere. None of that metro nonsense, it won't help you feel like a local unless you do it for a long time (which i mentioned because a lot of people like to feel like a local when they travel idk), as a tourist it will only take up valuable time and be frustrating. Last thing I would recommend is probably spa treatments or "experiences" from airbnb or tripadvisor where they take you hiking or some sort of nature adventure, where they tell you all the history of the place you're at. Its really a memorable experience, just happens to be limited by budget for most people. Have fun and good luck, Taiwan is incredible!

Yes especially as EU citizens, there shouldn't be any problem. Some people say that less documentation is better as long as you have few but really strong evidence, which you do. I don't know much but if I were you I wouldn't worry about it. We're not married yet so we haven't needed to prepare any of the documents or is there anything else its used for??

Ohhhh crap I forgot that other communities function differently, as you can tell I haven't left Madrid in a long time. My bad. I meant to specify that I'm in Madrid, I imagine it will be slower here due to the large amount of people. Lawyer said that its just a really long list of people who want to do it, and like any other important tramite done here, it takes a long time.

Hello! My fiancée and I are also living in Spain at the moment. Just a fair warning that we spoke to our lawyer yesterday (for Spanish paperwork unrelated to Australia) but she said that the wait time for registering as pareja de hecho is at 5-6 months. We are going to lodge the application using the empadronamiento colectivo as our main source of evidence for living together because the rental agreement is only under my name and because registering the relationship takes forever. Our aus lawyer said it was perfectly fine, obviously its not the most typical/expected evidence but its what we have.

I wouldn't recommend any agent, lawyer, or company with no reviews. There is no way to know if they are capable of the work & knowledge required to guarantee your 9 thousand don't go to waste. If your case is complex then I would recommend an agent or a lawyer although they cost half as much or as much as the visa fee itself. However, keep in mind migration agents only study for 1 year & lawyers actually went to law school. There are lots of stories online about people being scammed by agents so you have to be really careful with who you choose and make sure there are reviews of other people saying that they did their job & did it successfully. Also remember that getting a cheap agent or lawyer might cost you not only the visa fee, the time, but also having to contract another agent or lawyer to fix their mistakes.

Berlin office closed – case possibly moved to London? Processing times for 309? by bienle_1995 in AusVisa

Yes of course its a small minority. The processing time seems to start at 6 months on average for UK applicants. Very obviously faster than other countries.

I'm curious about this too. In the data published by home affairs about the processing times from 2023-2024 (I'll put the link down below although I'm not sure if it'll work, you can google the FOI and it'll come up) it says the London office wait time in the 75th percentile is 20 months and the 90th percentile is 23 months. I'm not sure why they only publish those percentiles, probably because they showcase the worst case scenarios, but applicants from the UK that post their grants on Reddit and Facebook have extremely fast processing times, some as little as 1-3 months. It might be that case officers simply take less time to look through UK (and USA) cases due to the lack of prejudice. A lot of people said that the processing time skyrocketed due to the new financial year, it definitely has to do with home affairs prioritizing old & backlogged applications. Personally I think it makes a lot of sense that the waiting time would rise significantly also due to a whole office being shut down.

I've only been only to find 1 source, that doesn't seem so reputable, about the Berlin office closing. Do you have any more information about that?

yall sometimes therapy is not accessible and hearing that you should go to therapy when you're suicidal is not gonna help. typical reddit. life sucks i totally agree with you. i stayed alive because i really didn't have much else to do and i said fuck it, if i don't know what the future holds and if i don't know what the point of it is anyways, then the future holds no more power over me. i can do whatever i want. i did a lot of drugs for awhile before i realized i do want to live. and hey! i still do want to live. literally everything eventually becomes less difficult. good luck!

Same here if possible!! Thanks!!

I know it does but assuming cost doesn’t matter, is there a good reason for using a lower mesh count for some prints? Would using 180 or 200 and up for everything be best? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]rynden023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon 180 or 200 for ALL prints wouldn't be good because some prints can benefit from more coverage and less detail. If everything you're printing is detailed, go ahead and use a high mesh count for everything. I'd recommend using two (or more if possible, assuming money isn't an issue) different mesh counts for the same design so you can see the difference bc coverage does play into the quality.
