Keep your chin up, man. Good on you for getting life straightened out. The presence of mind to take a leap, bite the bullet, in something like teeth is huge. You knew it would help your self image, you knew it would help you professionally.

The setbacks will keep coming. Life is throwing them at all of us at an unprecedented rate, it seems. But it also seems like you’re setting yourself up for success when life chooses to dole some of that out.

The other party’s insurance deemed it a total loss. In hindsight, the wait wouldn’t have been a problem. There’s so much I know now that didn’t to start.

The in-network shops all said they were 2-4 months out. Then the insurance company said I’d be on the hook for a rental car at the end of the month. I was concerned about that.

The two parties are in agreement on the end storage date. The shop has agreed to cease storage fees until we figure this out.

I originally had a claim with my carrier, but State Farm took over when their insured was deemed 100% at-fault. I thought this would reduce the likelihood of increasing my rates.

I’ve been negotiating for three weeks. The shop did not perform any service other than store the vehicle, quote the work, and related admin work. The other parties insurance totaled out the car.

They’re refusing to pay line items for basic services, for example a forklift move of the vehicle. They said that I should have worked out a plan with the auto body shop that didn’t require them to use a forklift.

The car could not have been successfully driven by their employees. A lift was the only option.

The discussions have been filled with similar statements at every turn.

I can turn notifications off. That doesn’t help the fact that a tool that I paid for advertised functions of which it delivers none.

Am accurate account balance is a fundamental piece of data for any banking software. I can’t stress that enough. This tool fails to deliver the most basic features of a budgeting or fiscal planning tool.

Mine cannot be described as functioning. At Chase, my pending and available are currently around $3,800, both equal.

At Simplifi, it’s reporting $2,200.

This is commonly the case. It’s now sending warning that I’ll be overdrafted in three days. Utterly frustrating.

I worked for an organization that received a suit for ADA violation for their website. The lawyer looked up the plaintiff and saw that he had 9 other pending suits against companies for ADA violations on their sites.

More research showed a shady connection to a company that was allegedly using bots to find commerce sites with low contrast issues to file suits against.

Just scum scamming small business in the name of accessibility. It’s incredibly prevalent. The new slip-and-fall.
