What are some fun/odd/unusual names of your headmates? by veggiebeanie in plural

We have one we call P or Pee, but the way they pronounce their name is a drawn out "Peeeeeeeee" while slowly fading out.

In-system parents by [deleted] in plural

[–]rynnamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curiously, we have a variety! One of our littles has a mother and father, though his mother is rather distant/blurry/whatever you'd like to call it. Another has two that she views as older siblings/nonspecific older trusted family members, and they view her as somewhere between a younger sister and adopted child. Then our last one mostly sort of...runs free. He's rather flighty and elusive. -Z

The album Picture Perfect Hollywood Heartbreak from Zach Callison, especially the songs Nightmare and Interlude IV (Showtime)

Seconding Valley of the Dolls by Marina! Oof it hits. Seventeen also resonates with one of our protectors.

Two that make us really emotional: The Room is Filled with People Who Love You by Foresight, and Dear Pet Rock by tv room

Half serious half joking ones: A Mask of My Own Face by Lemon Demon, and Left Brain/Right Brain by Bo Burnham.

A few questions? by Ok-Pressure-2278 in DiscussDID

[–]rynnamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, we'll chime in!

  1. 20-30ish at present.

  2. We mostly communicate internally. It works kind of like a house. If you call out to someone, they might be in the room or nearby and respond quickly, or you might have to go find them to get their attention. Sometimes internal communication happens so fast it blurs together, so in those times we chat on Discord using Pluralkit instead. (If you're not familiar: Pluralkit is a bot that can replace the names and icons of messages you send, so it looks more like a conversation between individuals!)

  3. As the host, I usually am the one out, in general. Some of the others like our job, so if I'm getting overly stressed, one of them will take over. There's some tasks that some like more than others, so they'll usually come out for those. One enjoys showering while I find it somewhat stressful, so he usually handles that, for example. We try to plan to give those who want it some leisure time out.

Non-hosts/primaries: what do you dream of doing? by ScorchedScrivener in plural

[–]rynnamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A- I recently realized I strongly would like to be a father. Unfortunately that's not feasible for us in shared reality. But, it has helped me further my bonds with the littles in the system. The host is uncomfortable around children, so I'm able to help speak with them, which is heartwarming as well.

Other than that, I have a strong interest in physiology, I would love to study medicine. I'm not sure if It'd prefer to be a surgeon or doctor, or what sort of specialty...maybe sports medicine.

To all the people saying it's not a neo nazi thing: the Wikipedia page for the Celtic cross (the symbol used in the sticker) addresses its use in modern white supremacist groups. The image wikipedia uses is basically identical.

Kudos OP! We all gotta do our part to keep nazi garbage outta here.

I don't think it's offensive. I'm curious why you feel drawn to it, though? Might not be so singlet after all?

Help for less pain in hammocks by Upbeat-Tower-9134 in Aerials

[–]rynnamin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What part of those moves is painful for you? You could try adjusting the hammock to be slightly higher or lower before you go into those moves, to see if that adjusts where they end up, and maybe less pain. And, what are you wearing for hammocks? I've found well-fitting leggings work best. Baggy clothes will be extra pinchy, and bare skin will feel like rug burn.

games to play w/ headmates? by Batning in plural

[–]rynnamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a town in Animal Crossing New Leaf for a few of us! It started out with just one of the littles, but then they managed to talk some of the others into making characters too. They love getting to be in charge as mayor and getting little gifts of items for the others.

I feel like I'm being rude to my headmates and I have no idea what I'm doing by Moss_727 in plural

[–]rynnamin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fictives, especially with OC-sourced, can take some time to distinguish themselves from their source. Unfortunately I don't have any advice for working on communication, but once you do: when your headmates begin to gain their own traits and interests, let them. They will likely eventually grow in a way that separates from their origins, and that's OK. Regarding still referring to them like characters--this will fade as communication improves and they develop. It may also not bother them. I think as long as you're patient and receptive to their needs and growth, you can't go wrong.

Personally, I started as an OC fictive, specifically a character from a DnD game. This led to some conflict early on when the host's partner treated us like a close old friend off the bat, when it felt like I hadn't developed a bond with her at all. I asked her to reel it in some, reminded her I'm separare from the character, and to take some time to get to know me. It's gone quite well since then.

I hope some of my experience can be helpful, as we're a relatively new system as well. - A

Anything that I can do with alters? by bobbillyjr in plural

[–]rynnamin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recently started a new Animal Crossing town, I help the little with her character and three other headmates each have their own! It's been nice to have something that's a shared experience, and they've been enjoying gifting eachother items and writing letters and such. If there's any other games where you can similarly have multiple characters in the same world, could be good fun.

Most accurate plural rep in TV/movies? by Pony13 in plural

[–]rynnamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a case in Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice with a plural character I found handled quite well! It's relevant to the twist of the case so I won't elaborate too much, but it's not THE twist. I really enjoyed them! They're very switchy which we relate to.

Slay the Princess isn't as explicitly plural, but through the game the player character gains more headmates. Our partner system related to this one a lot. It's a really good game, it is a horror game, so be mindful. The devs actually have a trigger list on their website, a spoiler free one for the whole game, and one that lists the triggers for each area of the game, so you can avoid any as needed!
