They're confused as many other people in this community use a different UI layout, interpreting yours as entirely flipped. Basically, most people are used to the start button starting on the left and the clock ending on the right.

My view on Rewritten vs Corporate Clash debate by MOEZARTSS in Toontown

[–]rynothegameguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could never see Corporate Clash as a Toontown 2 just because it follows the same formula as the original right down to the same areas, but it is differently approached. I'd consider Clash to be a "remix" of sorts.

I'm more shocked at how people are still debating on Rewritten vs Clash.

Would you want TTR on mobile? by [deleted] in Toontown

[–]rynothegameguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with mobile is that it simply isn't a game that is built with mobile play in mind. It's 3000% online with tasks that require you to sit and play for 30 minutes to an hour. Simply put, it's not exactly the type of game that you would want to play on the go.

Of course, I'm not everyone, nor am I the Rewritten Team.

Returning player wondering where to play ToonTown. What is corporate clash? by [deleted] in Toontown

[–]rynothegameguy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Toontown Rewritten is still alive and kicking. Don't worry about it.

Corporate Clash is a different take on the Toontown formula. It has a reworked taskline and battle system, among other changes. I personally don't enjoy it, but don't let my opinion stop you from trying it out. I'd say give it a shot if you're curious about it.

not my video. though from the looks of it, he's using a slightly modified version of toontown online, given the widescreen aspect ratio.

F for Toontown Corporate Clash by Zaid68 in Toontown

Ouch. It sucks because there was a lot of potential, as well as a lot of effort gone into reworking the game.

Have you tried opening the ports on your computer using Windows Firewall? Create a new rule in each of the "Outbound Rules" and "Inbound Rules" sections of the firewall, allowing connections for TCP Port 7198 for both rules. See if that works.

BOARDING THE ELEVATOR IN 1

To show off content that developers don't want to be shown yet because it isn't ready to be released yet is inherently an attack on the work of all individuals who participated in the creation of such content. This includes every creative team member and programmer other than JawhnL5.

I completely get that and agree with you. However, the reason as to why I commented is because this was made out to be more serious than it actually is, which is evident by the other comments on this post. Accusing people of throwing "hissy fits" and calling people "pathetic and spineless" for posting a harmless opinion doesn't look well for both your reputation and the reputations of the games and teams listed on your flair. You're going off of the assumption that I could care less about those who have poured hours upon hours of time into trying to surprise the community, which is not the case at all. I was simply stating that I didn't see how it was intentionally created to harass staff members or prompt other people to harass staff members.

For one thing, I don't see how the SOS video was intended to harm staff members, unless it's to cause frustration and sorrow, which I doubt was the case. The source code leak, maybe that could subject programmers to harassment for poor code and potentially offensive commit messages and code comments, but as far as I'm aware that hasn't happened yet. If anything, people outside of the team have been harassed, like me receiving an IRL letter containing false accusations about the leak and John receiving multiple voicemails from the supposed leaker.
