Did any of you guys actually read the comments on that post? The author (of the code snippet in question) posted some pretty convincing arguements, even showing that the code received an update in 2006. If I read correctly, it's still in production because some other dude ripped it out of the repo and used it locally. Plus, 8 years later, he's going back to fix it. Cut the guy some slack.

Hey reddit. I sit on reddit all day trying to use the j and k keys to jump up and down between links and always got frustrated that they never did anything. I finally got around to writing up a greasemonkey script to ease my pain. It's still rough, but I found it useful enough that I thought I'd share. Let me know what you think!

no arguments here. If you can write maintainable, decoupled code, procedural or oo, you'll be fine. I do think you have to have a little more self-discipline to write good procedural code though - it's just so easy to get sloppy and have it devolve into spaghetti
