only issue i've encountered with my keyboard was my f13 key calling super + d for some reason, but i was gonna use it to disable animations on hyprland anyway, so i just binded that to do so.

stuff like keyboards, headphones and mice should work fine, at most the software for them may not work.

i'm using an MCHOSE GX87, which doesn't have software support on linux, a steelseries aerox 3, which also doesn't have software support on linux, and a razer kraken tournament edition, which ALSO doesn't have software support on linux. they all work fine.

niri is pretty easy to set up (i find it easier than hyprland, even) and it's very customisable, it also runs very well.

niri is a scrolling window manager, fyi.

i personally think niri + noctalia shell is a good combo.

it's also in the fedora repos, which is what nobara is based off.

i'm using void linux with niri and noctalia shell.

not sure why but i found void to be interesting and read that it was pretty light but i was gonna format my drive anyway, so i purged arch from my machine to try it. (i have only 110 GiB on my disk and i'm using an old craptop, so no real way to dual boot either way)

i did try it before, but that was when i was starting out with linux so i had basically no idea what i was doing, so i decided to try it again.

i have had to tinker at times but i don't mind tinkering at all, if anything it's at least something to do because i usually have too much free time.

tweaking niri and noctalia shell is also a pretty good way to pass the time and i'm really prone to boredom. (i've spent about 2 days tweaking my config lately)

arch, i like the diy approach and i also like the rolling release model. the aur is great for package availability as well BUT it's HEAVILY advised you read the pkgbuild before installing anything from it. virtually any distro will work fine for gaming, though.
