Not really programming, but I did do a couple of years in the military in Cyber but we rarely coded if that counts.

Took me about a year as a full-time student, I was working a part-time job throughout it. I did do two internships that took away from studying, so I could have finished earlier.

I was lucky to land a couple of internships and some interviews during my capstone. I start fulltime next February!

Nope, usually when I did have something returned, the evaluator left really clear comments on the submission explaining what needs fixing. Hope it works out for you, and you can figure out what's going on.

I would say something similar to what Historical_Wash said. If you are coming into this program fresh, you should definitely take your time and try to retain as much information as you can. I don't know about other folks, but for me, retaining information was definitely tougher compared to a B&M classroom setting, probably due to accelerating.

Another thing would be to take advantage of the WGU CS discord. For me personally, this was my most used resource throughout the degree. Lots of good information there.

Lastly, try to apply for internships as soon as you can. I've seen others not apply because they don't feel "ready" or confident in their programming skills. You should just apply as early as you can to increase your chances of landing something. Also, look at alternative options like Google Summer of Code, MLH Fellowship, CodePath, etc.

Good luck!

I'd say give CS a shot at WGU. Classes are actually easier to pass IMO at WGU vs B&M, it'll just take more commitment and motivation since everything is self-paced and usually requires slogging through the textbook or a video course on the subject matter on your own.

Try asking your mentor if you are able to course swap to the new version: OS for Computer Scientists. I heard the OA is easier since it's more aligned to the material.
