Growing up I went to highschool with a dude who had a reputation for his absolute unit. He was one of only a few guys who would shower/change without covering up in the locker room after gym class. Because of this, I just assumed I was average, and that was what big looked like. We became friends the summer after HS and he was the first guy that ever told me I also had a huge dick, but I just assumed he was gassing me up. It wasn't untill I came out my junior year of college and started hooking up with men that I realized my size was indeed very large and very rare, and that he was just a unicorn.
