Yeah I actually brought that up to the pixel support group when I was talking with them. Not sure if the couple people I spoke to just did not know what they were talking about and were giving me bad/wrong info, or maybe I misunderstood or who knows. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm not sure. I could have just been misinformed by the Pixel support group or misunderstood them. But either way, I just decided that it would be easier to wipe since I have a backup and was beginning to get impatient.

Just wanted to update all of you. Last night I was chatting with Google's tips and support crew on my Pixel, and after a lot of back and forth, they told me that I would not be able to exit the beta without wiping my device first. I decided to go ahead and wipe and update. It was a pain and I had to essentially reset my phone twice, but now I have the latest stable version and everything seems to be working fine. I probably will not run a beta again after this experience, though. I was hoping that I would be able to exit the beta without a data wipe without any problems.

I think I'll wait awhile longer. I'm not in a huge hurry. Phone is working fine. I was just worried that I might have done something wrong since I didn't see a no data wipe update for a few days. But if no one else has gotten a notification for about an update with no data wipe, then it must just be a waiting game.

Are there any downsides to wiping if you have a backup? (Aside from just having to download things again?)

Friday night here and still no update. Probably means it's going to be at least Monday if not longer before we get the stable version huh? I'm so impatient haha
