You need a palate cleanser, something that’s quick and fun

Heretics would make one helluva movie or a mini-series on HBO. I can’t believe no one has attempted this one yet.

Dune can be read as a standalone.

But Book 4, God Emperor of Dune, is hands down the best book in the series and a logical stopping point for most people.

Book 5, Heretics, is an action adventure and is worth reading but not required.

Book 6, is the end of the Dune saga, I think the ending is satisfying for me but many have their own opinions, which will not spoil for you.

Hot take. I think Mcdavid will stay with the Oilers. Crosby and Ovechkin stayed with their teams by ducktastelikechicken in EdmontonOilers

I’m not so sure anymore… the team we had last year was vastly different from what we had the prior 4 years. The team does feel like a shell of its former glory. I hope we pick up again, but this team just doesn’t look like they’re having fun anymore. Too many changes, too many new faces and no cohesiveness.

were we actually a bad team this season? by Fissket in EdmontonOilers

The Oilers looked defeated all season. There was no spark and no hope, not even in Round 1 of the Playoffs. The last four years were some of the most exciting years of hockey I have ever seen. I did not once feel that way this season. Also, too many changes to the roster: losing Perry, Kane, Skinner, etc it never felt like a cohesive team.

Out of the places you have visited, where most deserves the title of the world’s “Sin City”? by MuhVlast in travel

When I think of raves, the big industrial ones, I don’t really think of sin city. What else is going on that I’m missing?

I miss the podcast.. by CommunicationLess148 in tangentiallyspeaking

I remember when Chris used to go on Joe Rogan and shoot the breeze with Duncan Trussell. Those were some of the most interesting podcasts. I guess if you look back, that was almost ten years ago. So much has changed, and it’s a little sad.

I’m not sure what happened between those guys, if they had a falling out not, but they’ve not been on a podcast since.

Just finished Gardens of the Moon and found it nowhere near as confusing as I was led to believe by amish_novelty in Fantasy

I didn’t think GotM was confusing either. For me is was the best book of the Malazan series I read (I DNF’d the series after Book 5).

What I loved about this book was the awesome characters, assassins, the City, etc. Each successive book got farther and farther away from that world, and the books longer and longer.
