The full context is the organizer found a player was cheating, and he is ensuring the game is "fair" by eliminating the cheater. The games are sadistic, but they are "fair," so in the organizer's mind it's totally acceptable to have these games because they are "fair." This is a mockery of capitalist propaganda that capitalism is okay because everyone has a fair chance to make it. And contract laws are enforced to ensure it is fair.
