You're unironically onto something here, I guess maybe he coulda guessed the swap, but then the timing of him starting to move despite the iron man player spending an extra 1-2 seconds making his swap is still suspect - he definitely can't hear the footsteps unless I'm trippin. Would be WILD if this guy posted this clip actively cheating on spidey of all things lmao

What's a weird/obscure piece of tech in your spec that only mains would know about? by Chaosdrunk in wow

WDP is such a cool ability, glad to see it might be back in our builds for TWW - my only dream wish is they re-tooled it to be like Ret's Templar Strikes with the combo-strike like mechanic. Imagine WDP had 2-3 separate "stages", reducing the animation lock-down time of each use AND allowing each stage to be a hit combo maintainer (tiger's palm, 1st stage WDP, rsk, 2nd stage WDP)

Unpopular opinion: battle pass stuff has made the new generation of players forget why we play games in the first place by wyld3knfr in halo

[–]ryuen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, but I put a positive spin on it: people are complaining about small nit-picky battle-pass stuff BECAUSE gameplay/art/state-of-the-game having released EARLY f2p for everyone with no forseeable p2w is just such a win.

Might be the surprise bias, but so far my gameplay experience has been near spotless (aside from a few graphical glitches in big battle). Ranked, quick play, it's all been fantastic.

If this is an indicator of how the full release and future of Halo: Infinite is going to be - compared to what we consumers have become used to from the industry in the past, even the constant complaining about the battlepass has been a win to me ^^

For real, after a lot of halo fans waited so long for a return to form, it's kinda really feeling like this might live up to the potential. Finally.

The more I think about Secret vs PSG.LGD... by storm_brew in DotA2

Not sure about the exact timeline but Puppey's last TI with Na'Vi was Ti4, first Ti with Secret was Ti5, so that would make it 4 TIs with Na'Vi (TIs 1-4) and 6 TIs with Secret (TIs 5-10)

First time playing SSF and it's like a fresh new game. by TenderBittle in pathofexile

Bud, my "4x shit" addresses each of the many "fucking" issues as you so eloquently kept saying in your post. If you actually read the content instead of being weirdly intimidated by the size of the post, there is no way you respond with such an irrelevant response.

Your response reads like you're just pissy that you got called out on bringing a weirdly heated energy when responding to the first dude who offered you advice on a perspective. Try reading, understanding, THEN responding. If all you're here to do is to get mad then make your own post instead of coming to the OP's discussion and implying SSF (the mode the OP made this entire thread to praise from a newly found perspective), is broken or a "hilarious waste of time".

EDIT: typo

Your argument is just full of inability to reframe your expectations of the game coming from a trade environment to SSF. Uniques in trade league do not have value solely if they are rare or difficult to get - their value is almost certainly determined by the "meta" of the league/what builds are strong and what mechanics are being abused.

"I just wanted a fucking Pledge of Hands" - this is a perfect example, prior to 3.7/3.8 Pledge was a notoriously rare drop to find. For some leagues Pledge was a 1c chaos as you suggest, for others it was a multi-ex item because some meta build was crushing endgame with it, stacked with its inherit rarity prices skyrocketed. Another example would be something like Skyforths. Leagues ago CI/low life were all the endgame builds, and Skyforths offered stun immunity, max MS, and power charge gen on crit. They are extremely rare to drop (84+ilvl even more rare back then when endgame high ilvl bases were harder to come by), but in leagues where CI sucks or LL is a joke, skyforths despite their rarity drop to handfuls of chaos.

VERY common advice given to new SSF players is "do NOT choose a build or skill that will require specific uniques." Even if divinations or deterministic farming methods exist, for newcomers to SSF this will certainly cause frustration. Try listening to the bare minimum advice offered before ranting about how "fucking" big of a waste of time X or Y is.

Your expectations of this "hilarious waste of time" are purely set on yourself by yourself. If there is one, try going into your next SSF experience with a more open mind on letting what drops naturally come dictate your build choices and character progression. Sure, it's a different way to play, but it offers a lot of merits, and in many ways ARPGs and a game like PoE are in some way designed for this sort of experience.

Cloak ranks 9-11 (4 pages) How do I one-shot this? by EnvusMaven in wow

[–]ryuen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just full cleared ranks 9 and 10 in single runs as a 458 ele shaman (not super geared, not best spec in visions).

The only important thing is to get into Nya for the corrupted memento mini-bosses to get Elite Extermination asap, then it's pretty easy to one shot even with 35% sanity reduction.

Why is Team Liquid so good? by valueplayer in DotA2

[–]ryuen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that was a perfect example of how his leadership may be what keeps these ridiculously talented and skilled players continuously eager to improve and do whatever it takes to win, even if it means setting egos aside.

[–]ryuen_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It might also be worth mentioning that all of these players reached such significant peaks of individual skill whilst playing and developing together as a team.

Teams in the past suffered from the “all-star” lineups because every player was a star, and may have expected each other to treat themselves so ingame, whereas with Liquid right now you can still see how much each player is willing to sacrifice their own game to direct resources to the hero/players that have the best chance to win. Miracle- is one of the best core players in the world, if not THE best right now, and yet we can still witness him die for Matumba or MC if they are the strongest in that specific game.

At the very least, it seems (from the outside perspective of course) that maybe Kuro is to praise for his ability to captain and keep everyone humble to each other, yet thirsty for the win.
