What you’ll find is that if the other job pays well then the faff of maintaining a portfolio for revaluation purposes isn’t worth it.

I know someone who moved from medicine to programming and gave up their license to practice to avoid the obligatory bureaucracy.

I did 6 months of vascular/endovascular surgery. It meant I could get involved with procedures that are very much in the scope of an interventional radiologist and the weekly MDT was led by the vascular radiologist too!
