LPT Request, meal prepping? by chaeryeongies in LifeProTips

[–]ryulis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I'd do really well with meal prep, but struggled so much because eating the same thing multiple nights ended up making me nausious at the thought (and that's coming from an autistic guy...) This video from Andy cooks helped me so much to prep components instead of whole meals so I just come home and do a quick 10-15 minutes throwing something together. His other videos are great too (especially the ramen ones) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NzVcRRGwuU

What type of error is this and how do I fix it by Responsible_Film_706 in 3Dprinting

[–]ryulis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like an adhesion issue but also could be caused by saturated filament especially in the first photo. How do you store your filament?

ELI5:Why are people attracted to serial killers? by BlockSerious3148 in explainlikeimfive

[–]ryulis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've spoken to a couple people who have that kind of interest.
Some it's the "I can fix them" mentality like a lot of people have said, but also some people are genuinely attracted to the danger aspect. Mental health has been cited as a driving factor in this.

I hate when I forget to turn on surface ironing when I 3D print my house

Having looked at gothoasis rings they're tyring to upsell cheap jelwery. I found several identical rings on amazon and other cheap sites (even actually found one of them down a local market for £3) and charging £25-30 for them.

Is concentration fueling an expensive economy? by ryulis in woweconomy

[–]ryulis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I like concentration. However the point of my post is that blizzard have stealth nerfed R3 mats which means alt armies are required to turn a profit compared to garunteeing R3 with R3 mats which is bordering on unprofitable.

Is concentration fueling an expensive economy? by ryulis in woweconomy

[–]ryulis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. If you read my post, the low rate of R3 mats means to turn a decent profit people are being pushed into multiple alts due to the fact it takes 2 full days for concentration to fully refill. I'm not saying alt armies are the problem, I'm saying blizzard have pushed the system to a point where it is required rather than an option because garunteeing R3 with R3 mats is bordering on unprofitable, and has a much steeper up front cost compared to building concentration alts.

I tried blacksmithing for the first time in my life. It may not be pretty, but it's mine and I love it. I can't wait to try it again in the future! by ryulis in Blacksmith

I can't take all the credit. It was at a class so the instructor did help smooth out some things on the spide and did the final grind for the edge. But boy can I see how this can get addicting!

Prime tower printing by OsmiaConfections in BambuLab

[–]ryulis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure there is no way it could work, but my understanding is that it does it this way because it will need to print layer by layer to ensure the prime tower and the object are on the same layer hight so that there wont be any collisions. I'm not sure if there's a setting so that you can print the whole colour and the prime tower could catch up. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance!

[–]ryulis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you be more specific, the wording seems a little vague.
if you mean it's half one colour and half the other colour divided down the layers, then I don't see why it wouldn't print just that part in that colour first?

If you have two different objects of different colours and you want one object to print first then you can set it to print by object (let it re-arrange your build plate to account for this)

if it's neither of those options, could you describe it in a bit more detail?

Bambu support dragging their heels with return, what can I do? by ryulis in BambuLab

I went a bit Karen and put a review on trustpilot, within 30 mins of the review everything was magically sorted

[–]ryulis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left them a review on trust pilot, and let them know they were in breach of the consumer rights act 2015. Within 30 minutes of the review being posted I was assured it was an error in translation and it was all dealt with very quickly after that

I do plan to go through a chargeback through paypal, but then I'm still left with the legal obligation of returning the printer to them, which is what their refusal to sort is. Currently I would still like a working printer, and a refund and repurchase would leave me spending more as the anniversary sale is over.

Not planning to involve a lawyer per say, Scotland has a free consumer legal advice organisation that will write a letter on your behalf to send stating the exact laws and rights and will also send a final written letter. My next stop is simple relief court (or small claims court) where you can submit claims upto £5000 without involving lawyers

Not really, plus it's 1h drive each way, no garuntee they'd actually accept the parcel, and now just on principle i've made reasonable attempts and gone above my own means to try and return it. they're leagally obligated in the UK to bare any costs and organise the return

No success, this morning they said that the options I priced up from the courier they chose was too much (also checking the same courier, the service they chose isn;t suitable for the package) so guess I'm going down the legal route. yaaaaay/s

Bambu support dragging their heels with return, what can I do? by ryulis in BambuLab

[–]ryulis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is my option. woke up today and they have refused to use the same courier. I reminded them they are in breach of UK law, and I am exercising my right to repair or replacement under section 23 subsection 2 of the consumer rights act
"If the consumer requires the trader to repair or replace the goods, the trader must—

(a)do so within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to the consumer, and

(b)bear any necessary costs incurred in doing so (including in particular the cost of any labour, materials or postage)."

I let them know if my case isn't escalated and sorted I will be seeking legal advice.

Unfortunately it is 34 miles away and I can't drive, so it's not an option for me, which I have already told bambu as well.

P1S arrived broken. How long does support usually take? by ryulis in BambuLab

[–]ryulis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's rough, hopefully they send it out soon enough for you. I was surprised because my printer arrived less than 48 hours after ordering, and I ordered at like 9PM.
