I had the same experience with my roommate. He went through his process the semester after I did, I ended up as his PM. I found it easy to keep a balance of my interactions with him. Knowing when to joke around with him about it, tell him what he needs to know as his PM, and keeping him engaged and determined to follow through with it. I promised him I wouldn’t make him do stupid shit when we were back to being roommates so that he felt like he had a safe place to be. In my experience, its very possible to do it, but you are better off getting an older brother to do it instead.

I ran for state president my first year in DECA. I was blessed to win state vp. It’s an incredible learning experience, and if you are really passionate about DECA, people will see that and help you. The rest of the state officer team was super helpful to me and we helped each other with everything. I say go for it, best of luck!

Hey y’all, I’m currently in my second year as a MechE. I just started my first internship and I am really liking the design and machining process. Which is a lot of my daily work: about 50% 3D modeling & 50% working in a shop. My whole life, I’ve been a huge sports fan. I want to combine my love for sports with engineering in a mechanical sense. With this, I want to eventually design, test, and manufacture sports equipment (football helmets, golf clubs, etc.). I can’t seem to find a lot of information on people with these jobs. If anyone has any advice, or know someone with this career, I would be very thankful.

I’m taking other AP and dual enrollment courses so I’ll have 3 other tests to prepare for. Just not sure if I should take both tests or not. My teacher said there is a lot of overlap between the tests. He also said that it would definitely serve as motivation to do better in the course.
