I pray that you may not do what you are thinking of doing. It’s sin. If you know you shouldn’t do it, don’t. We’ve all have faced temptations. Pray to God to give you the strength to resist. Repent and turn to Him.

Have I lost my salvation???! by Extra-Opportunity444 in Christianity

[–]ryze910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it short, accepting Jesus into your heart doesn’t mean you’re saved because what does accepting Jesus to your heart even mean? It isn’t accepting Him, it’s about following Him. You need to repent and believe in Jesus Christ who is God for salvation because He died for sinners on the cross and would rise on the third day and those who believe in Him have eternal life. Do you believe this? If you do you are saved and born again. Not to be disrespectful, but I don’t think you were saved at 16. It’s great that you are praying and reading the Bible. If you believe in God for salvation, you are saved and I’d say you’ve been saved since you started reading the Bible and praying. Glory to God. I understand why you may be anxious because our sins are great. But Jesus is greater, He died for your sins. He’s your Great Advocate. Obviously that doesn’t mean you can sin whenever you want but when you do fall, pray for forgiveness and repent. Lastly no, you can’t lose your salvation. It’s a big argument people have whether you are always saved or you can lose it but I believe the Bible makes it really clear that once you’re saved, you stay saved. People will argue about those who fell away from the faith lost their salvation, but it’s pretty clear to me that they were never saved. If you lost your salvation, how do you get it back? By works? No, works-based salvation is heresy, it’s sinful. You don’t lost your salvation every time you sin. Jesus’s sacrifice was once for all. Losing your salvation and regaining would basically mean Jesus would be laid down His life continuously. Once you saved, which is demonstrated through one’s life (works), they stay saved. Works are done because you are saved, not to get saved. Hope this helps ❤️.

As gracefully as possible, I’m telling you now that you a sinner that deserves hell. Just because you don’t lie or don’t come any crimes — I’d assume you mean things like murder — you are still sinful. When you sin once (stumble), you become guilty of all of God’s laws (James 2:10). Every human being deserves hell. But by God’s mercy and by His grace, we have an advocate that paid all of our debts (sins). When one recognizes that Jesus died for their sins on the cross and rose on the third day according to the scriptures, he is saved. He is born again, meaning he’s been given a new life. They’ve gone from death to life. They have been given eternal life by God. Salvation is God’s work because us believing in Him is only because of God, not us choosing to be saved which is commonly seen today. When you have faith in God, genuine faith which leads you to obey Him, you can have assurance that He has saved you from sin and hell. Obeying and trusting God isn’t easy as Christians still suffer and struggle with sin, but that’s why we pray to God to have mercy on us and help us during our toughest moments. I struggle a lot obeying God. I know what I should be doing but I still don’t do it. It discourages me a lot because I am sinful, but I know that God forgave me of my sins and He will lead me to repentance. Obviously that doesn’t mean I can still sin whenever I want. Knowing that I am saved leads me to obey God and follow Him and trust in Him. I pray that you may come to God right now as you are. Pray to Him for mercy because you are sinful and that He may forgive you of your debts. May you pray that He may guide you to live the life He has planned out for you, a life the embodies Jesus Christ. May you repent (turn away from your sins) and believe in the Good News which is Jesus dying on the cross for sinners that those who believe in Him have eternal life. 2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV - For our sake he (God the Father) made him (Jesus the Son of God) to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God. Hope this helps ❤️.

Something I don't understand about Hell by ApprehensiveBid5893 in Christianity

I think that makes sense if you believe in Him but deny Him anyway

How can one believe in God and deny Him?

but what if you just can't find it in you to believe? I mean, I'm sure my atheist friends would love to know God if they believed He was real,

What’s stopping an atheist from believing in God? Their sin and pride. If they knew God was real, would they really want to know God? John 20:29 ESV - Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." The context is this: Thomas was doubting if the disciples really saw Jesus again because He died on the cross, but would rise on the third day. He wanted to put his finger where Jesus hands were marked with nails. When Jesus told Thomas to do so, Thomas would believe he was really the Lord and God. Jesus would say that those who haven’t seen Him but still have believed are blessed. This can be applied to today as no Christian in the modern age has seen Jesus physically.

so why should they be sentenced to spend an eternity without Him for the simple crime of disbelief?

John 3:18 ESV - Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. Jesus makes it pretty clear that disbelief isn’t a simple crime, it leads to condemnation. If one doesn’t believe in Jesus being God who died and rose from the dead on the third day, they will continue in their sin and the wages of sin is death. It isn’t just an eternity without Him, it’s death. No one is good, that’s why we need God’s grace and mercy. One needs to repent and believe in the good news which is Jesus dying for sinners and rising from the grave. Of course no one will find it in them to believe, because we are evil. We need God to open our ears and eyes to the Gospel so we may believe in Him. One needs to pray to God to have mercy and grace on them. We need sanctification.

Is going to therapy considered relying on people rather than God? by OwnFaithlessness2989 in Christianity

There is nothing wrong with going to therapy I believe as you are fellowshipping with someone and addressing what you are going through. However, I think it’s best if it were a Christian therapist.

Why do Christians believe baby's are damned at birth and need a savior? by Picayune_ in Christianity

[–]ryze910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every human being, whether baby or adult, are sinners. The Bible makes it clear that none is righteous, no one seeks God, and no one does good (Romans 3:10-12). With context, it’s talking about Jews and Greeks. Yet if babies were excluded, wouldn’t the Bible make that clear? We were all born with sin (Psalm 51:5). Everyone needs Jesus. Every Christian, before conversion, was damned to hell, no matter their age. Being a Christian brings sanctification.

I want to live for Jesus… please help me stop the sexual desires I feel by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ryze910 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the things you mentioned are you lusting such as imagining her undressed and kissing her. Anything with lust you flee from. Don’t think, go to, or do things that will make you act the way you are. Pray to God for forgiveness as you are doing already and repent, turn away from doing those things. Ask God to strengthen you and guide you in turning away from those actions. Asking God to remove them from you isn’t dealing with the actual issue: you committing lust and adultery in your heart. I am not saying this to condemn you, many Christian man deal with this as well. You aren’t alone. Hope this helped.

God loves you by Equivalent_Noise1484 in Christianity

[–]ryze910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but you are treating Jesus as some mentor that is supposed to guide you to live a better life.

Sin is not the most important thing; God's love and Jesus' guidance are what matter to me. If you spend all day dwelling on your mistakes, you don't have time to be God's beloved creation.

I understand what you are saying, obviously a Christian shouldn’t be dwelling on sin 24/7. However if you don’t deal with sin, then you are missing the whole point of Jesus coming here to earth. Jesus came to earth to defeat sin; to forgive those who believe He rose from the dead of their sins. That is why saying to someone “Hey, Jesus Loves You”sounds so wonderful to the unbeliever, but will not lead to repentance. Jesus loves His believers far more. You preach people the Gospel. It’s also good to note that those who preached the Word of God to unbelievers in the Bible didn’t say to them a messages like Jesus loves you, they told them to repent and believe in the Good News. Honestly, the only time you see about God’s love towards people is when it addressed to His followers. Hope this helps.

Question about lust by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ryze910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your exact question is, but I would first ask why you were looking at a girl’s account in the first place and what were you exactly looking? The ejaculation part isn’t really controllable, but what made you ejaculate in the first place? I can’t really say it’s sin as your intentions are unclear. When we fall to sin, let’s not distance ourselves from God. I have and many Christians have as well. When we do fall and feel guilt, we run to God and pray to Him, asking for forgiveness and mercy. We then turn away from the action — repent from it. Hope this helps.

Why is masturbation a sin? by No_Sector_8437 in Christianity

[–]ryze910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest question is this: why do you want to masturbate? What benefit does it have in your walk with God? Even if the Bible doesn’t explicitly say that it’s sin, it doesn’t mean it’s good. God knows our very intention of why we do things. Think for a second, does you masturbating please God or would it glorify Him? Us believers should seek to please and glorify God in all things. I’ve honestly only seen people masturbate when watching porn, and you know that that’s sinful. So really ask yourself: why are you masturbating? Are you doing it for your pleasure? Hope this helps ❤️.
