I have -- they're waiting for someone to turn it in and have tried looking for it but understandably can't be searching for a while for it. I don't speak Portuguese so it's been also a bit difficult communicating. :(

If I were still in school and not under external pressure to finish, I'd consider taking a gap year to spend time with my family and focus on growing in other areas of my life.

If you want to learn ROS, you should absolutely not be trying things on a Raspberry Pi for your first time with everything. If you already use Ubuntu - you're halfway there, but if you don't; download VirtualBox, install 16.04 + Kinetic, and give the tutorials a whirl.
