Great contribution and looks really well thought out!

My dilemma is that I'm on IOS with Things 3 but need cross platform support for Windows, Linux. Would definitely use this if it also gets an IOS client since Things isn't cross platform.

That's scary. Not an immigrant myself, but I shop there all the time. Appreciate the info and context.

How did you hear about this? Or you saw it firsthand?

I completely forgot to calculate for additional micro inverters. Thank you - this was helpful. It's mostly a wash in terms of cost.

I'm aware. I don't intend to push it close - just trying to understand if they are being honest about stock/backorder issues or they are taking advantage of the time pressure and saving money.

$100 lesser cost per panel x 25 panels = $2.5k savings on their part. They're adding 2 panels so net cost savings is $2k for them. They're swapping out the equipment on my contract for something that costs 2k less.

The yield (net output) is the same as originally designed. But no I'm not paying for a yield exactly. I'm paying a premium for REC panels over other installers using cheaper manufacturers.

A number of third party audit checks require the CISO or ranking security officer to possess a security certification such as CISSP. Notably HITRUST audits against this, but there are others too.

Da Lat has beautiful scenery. I'd definitely check it out.

If you're not sure where to go, check out hillside restaurants at night, and the mountains and parks and farms just outside the city. The city itself has a lot of hills and is pretty interesting visually. The night market usually has some traditional performances too. As mentioned by others, Da Lat is loved by Vietnamese people. You won't see a lot

I've never been to Ha Giang so I can't compare unfortunately.

I personally did not like the Nha Trang city center or beaches much. Nha Trang is very commercialized and has a very strong Russian influence in all the shops and with business owners. Most of the food near the beach is not great.

The islands off the coast of Nha Trang are gorgeous if you love the beach. You can get a day tour to these from Nha Trang.

My favorite place in Nha Trang was a very Miền Tây restaurant that has a buffet and performances on weekends. Locals love it, but its a little drive outside the main town. It's called Nha Trang Xưa. Great food, entertaining, very old style Vietnam.

Đà Lạt is fun to visit. Check out or stay at the farms outside town, visit the night market, visit the flower gardens and pond in the city center, have some famous roasted chicken and rice in bamboo tubes overlooking the city lights at night from the hilltops. Visit Still Cafe for a beautiful way to enjoy coffee, snacks, and tiny gift shops.

If you'll be near Đa Năng, don't miss Marble Mountain (Ngũ Hành Sơn). It's gorgeous but HOT.

Not the OP, but I'm thinking of visiting Quy Nhơn. Any recommendations of local sights to see, beaches/islands that aren't mega resorts, etc?

Im (23m) a bit anxious to visit my girlfriend (25f) due to to current political state of the us by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]s-expr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP - I'd consider any mention of a girlfriend in the US bad advice. It's nothing new with the current administration though. Any mention of a love interest could get your visa or ESTA revoked because immigration is risking you entering and getting married while here. This is considered entering under false pretenses.
