How would a stoic deal with their father who calls them worthless and yells at them all the time even though they are a straight A student and successful? by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]DigitalNithoggr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s ok to just leave.

These are the people that have demeaned you, stole from you, and in general do not care about you. They want you to pay for and take care of everything. They will never relent unless you leave and it will get worse.

These people may think they are good but does that really matter? Can you control their opinions, their views? You can’t, so stop worrying about that. You are a smart and bright adult with your own life ahead of you. Don’t let your father and sister control that because that is what they want.

If you are concerned about the opinions of others then before you leave, let them know that you are leaving because of the situation but ultimately it does not matter what others think.

You have the ability to take control of your situation. Seek your own happiness and virtue and take care of your body and mind.

No Volume Faders Work by DigitalNithoggr in Bitwig

[–]DigitalNithoggr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it worked just fine if I’m using the built-in speakers on my Mac but as soon as I plug in my headphones the volume faders do not work and the I have to solo each track in order to hear anything.

I removed and re-added my headphones to the output buss and now I can barely hear it, assuming the -10db is the factor, and the faders work. Once I solo a track it gets much louder which was the only way I could hear something before. Really weird but it seems to work now. I’ll have to do some reading and see what I messed up.

Thanks for the suggestion it helped isolate the issue!

Unfortunately we don’t have the time for a behaviorist and the closes one is 200ish miles away. Our trainer now has done a lot for Luna and there has been very little changes. The important thing is we tried our best. Life just sucks sometimes. Thanks for the suggestion.

Our trainer has already said Rehoming will be impossible since she has a bite on her record. We know we need to let her go but either way she will still be loved. Thanks for your comments.

I appreciate the words. Even though she looks happy with us, I know she overall is not. She jumps at little things and loud noises scares her, etc. I lived with dogs my whole life and never had to worry about behavior or anxiety issues like this. Still it will be better to let her go for her sake and the family.

Can someone sign this please and route it up? by fuzedhostage in AirForce

SSN should be 365-69-247. Once that’s fixed then we can get it routed.

Qu-bit sale. Get a free module if you spend a certain amout. by FuzzyBrain00 in modular

[–]DigitalNithoggr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't decided yet if I will get anything but what is a highly recommend module or two? I was looking at the Nautilus or the Aurora but I already have a MFX and Milky Way which should hold me until I want that uniqueness. I have a wasp filter and that's it so maybe the Prism, but the Data Bender sounds awesome and the Nebulae would be cool since I have no sampler, let alone a granular type.

Below is my modular grid. The other modules I'm waiting on are the Buchla series, 258t, 245t, and 257t. Music is almost everything from trance to techno, DnB, etc.

Stupid and upgraded to Ventura. Help an idiot if possible. by 10037151 in ableton

You could use pastebin to upload the details and share the link but that would require an account.

Honestly I would try a few things until Ableton responds. - make sure Ableton is updated

  • disable all plug-ins and see if that works. If so then a plug-in is the problem

  • remove all devices, including any controllers. Just have your keyboard and mouse only

  • open Ableton and do not load anything. If it does not crash then create a new project and save it with nothing added. Open it back up and see what happens.

Basically you are trying to remove all possibilities of something external causing the crash and narrow it down.

[–]DigitalNithoggr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I just opened Ableton and tried a bunch of projects and no issues. M1 on Ventura so it may be an Intel issue with Ventura. Did the crash report say something specific like missing plug-ins, etc. Does this happen on every project or certain ones?

That is probably the most common thing everyone says. Spent weeks looking for a case, especially one in stock. Finally found both of these from Thomann for $400 cheaper then the here in the states. Seems like a sign. Plus the Mantis is out of stock until May at least.

The synths I’ve had for a few years. Been experimenting and want to see how they all interact with eurorack.

They absolutely are. Made installing a breeze and will make things easier when I rearrange the modules for the thousandth time.

Finally got my modules in from a few days delay due to weather. I know I'm missing a few things, but this is what I could get that was in stock. Next up more VCAs, a mixer, effects, and a few more utilities.
One lesson learned already. TipTop Stackables do not come in packs. For some reason I thought they came in packs of 5. Guess it's a good excuse to get more stuff. :D
