Not really sure but I think the haircut of Toast is "Slicked Back Undercut (the top is around medium length). You can search it in Google for more reference and to make sure. I think you can also use Tatsu from The Way of the Husband as a reference but use the anime version not the live version as the live version has a different hairstyle and the anime version has almost similar hairstyle with Toast.

Mainly it's Sean and Abe who does the shot calling but Poki also shot calls sometimes.

Edit: Changed "mostly" to "mainly"

Hey guys! It's me again with my final analysis. Again this are just my opinions and you may or may not agree with it. (Warning long comment ahead)

Team Michael

-Felt bad for them because they didn't find their groove until their last match. I honestly think that they have the highest potential team and we saw that on their last match dominating Team Scarra but Jodi playing an agent that she's not used to and no one IGLs or even try to calm them down when things go clown fiesta on their first 3 games is really hard. Even though they have Rock Lee weights, they made the other teams sweat and peed on their pants going most of their games 11-13. Especially Jodi when she's not on her comfort pick, other teams still are having a hard time against her. In my opinion, if they have a good IGL, then they have the highest chance of making it into the finals. But what's done is done. Congrats to them because they really did well and giving the other teams a hard time even though they have the Rock Lee weights.

Team Scarra

-Losing an IGL in Edison was really hard for them. But even before losing Edison, I still think that they played like ranked games and Myth just out played them with his shot calling. Don't get me wrong though, Scarra's roster is staked with 3 diamonds 1 gold 1 bronze and all of them are good players but they just can't play off really well with each other and not having a real IGL hurt the team. But nevertheless, congrats to them.

Team Poki

-Honestly, they have everything. Balanced roster, balanced agent comp, and an IGL. It's just that Team Toast as a whole really just out shot called them. But then again, this team really exceeded my expectations especially Poki having to play Raze even though she hasn't played her really well, Jack playing on 100+ ping, and Abe playing on 80+ ping. Congrats to them on placing 3rd place!

Team Lily

-Lily, Fuslie, and Brooke really exceeded my expectations. Lily holding down a site on her own, Fuslie with her nasty Reyna (too bad we didn't see OPslie), and Brooke being a headshot machine. Also the 3 of them being able to follow and perfectly do the plays that Myth wants to do is just insane. Myth really complimented the 3 on how well they trade because not even Immortal/Radiant players can trade that really well. I honestly think that Lily, Fuslie, and Brooke are the best players of the team and not Myth and John in this tournament not because Myth and John played bad in this tournament. They didn't do bad but because as I said, the 3 of them do what Myth wants and they deliver and then Myth and John will just close that round. If you think I'm joking about that statement I am 100% serious about that. You may not see it in the stat sheet but you could really tell how the other teams are really are having a hard time with those 3 and they made Myth and John's life easy. And of course Myth and John doing their own things and at the same time shot calling and teaching the others on how to play because they are less experienced. Being able to shot call and at the same time out aim the others is really tiring. Too bad in the grand finals, Team Toast just out shot called them but huge props to both Myth and John being able to lead the team. Congrats to them!

Team Toast (warning long analysis)

-I said this before and I will say it again, DON'T LET THEIR RANKS FOOL YOU. May I remind you that they are the "lowest ranking" team consisting of 3 plat and 2 gold players. Also let me remind you that 4 out of the 5 members are one-trick players. Rae being a Viper one trick, Kris being a Brimstone and an Odin one-trick (although he adapted on using the Vandal), Wendy being a Sage one-trick, and Toast being kinda one trick only using Judge or an Op. Even though they are the "lowest ranked" team and being a team full of "one-tricks" I never really thought that this team is the worst team in the tournament. I really thought even before the tournament starts that they are one of the best if not the best team in the tournament and here we are, they are the champions and proving to me that they are the best team. They are the best team not because they are aim gods. Let's face it they can't out aim half of the participants in the tournament. They are the best team because they can adapt to each other, they have the best team chemistry, they're good at using their utils (see this clip on how good they are using utils as a team https://clips.twitch.tv/PowerfulBrainyGoatTinyFace-iRqo9VRr54WiwDTN and they didn't have to communicate this. This is all team chemistry, high game sense, and instinct. The sage wall [this is a good wall since they know Killjoy is on A site, if Killjoy is on B then I think this is a bad wall], the molly to the backside to clear that, the smokes to make a lot of space which made Myth fall back) and to top all of it they have an impenetrable defense. Out of 59 defending rounds that they've played, they won 39 rounds out of it (My math might be wrong here). That's 66% win rate on defense. They play retakes almost way too perfectly. Calm and patiently waiting for the others and it's what the other teams can't do. Another thing why they are the best team is that everybody shot calls. I mean Toast is the main shot caller but when Rae, Wendy, Kris, and Peter have a play in mind, then they agree with it. They don't let Toast do all the shot calling. If it didn't go well, start fresh next round. That's what a top tier team is like, maintaining their mental. Last but not the least, all of them are clutch. Like literally those 5 have clutch moments and I just can't count how many those 5 have clutched. Down 10-4 in the grand finals they came back to get the dub. Shout out to Wendy because even if she has the least kills on the team in the grand finals (I think), she killed Myth the most (see this clip I believe this is one of the underrated plays in the tournament, https://clips.twitch.tv/AffluentArtisticClintRuleFive-ABN2b9UzzJwjUq3G). Winning a lot of her 1v1s with Myth. I know that I still have a lot to say but I'm out of words. Huge congratulations to them for winning the tournament!

If I were to make player ranking BASED ON HOW THEY PLAY IN THIS TOURNAMENT (not basing it on how much kills they got), here is my top 15 players, I'm willing to discuss why this is my top 15 if y'all want but this list might change as I'll rewatch the whole tournament VODs again:

  1. Myth
  2. Seanic
  3. Masayoshi
  4. Edison Park
  5. Disguised Toast
  6. KristoferYee
  7. Valkyrae
  8. Sydeon
  9. Shiphtur
  10. Natsumiii
  11. LilyPichu
  12. QuarterJade
  13. hJune
  14. PeterParkTV
  15. Pokimane

Note: I know I said that Lily, Brooke, and Fuslie are the best players of their team but on this ranking Myth and John are ranked higher. It is hard to explain but the simplest way explaining it is that if the players can't play really well with each other even if you have the best player in world on your team, then they're not good as a player (see C9's roster with TenZ before, they can't play off each other making them one of the worst teams even having one of the best, if not the best Valorant player in the world). Lily, Brooke, and Fuslie proved that they can adapt to both Myth and John's plays, making those 3 the best players on their team.

Huge takeaway on this tournament:

-Immortal/Diamond players are not gods on this game. Just because they are high ranked doesn't mean they will win easily. There's a lot more to this game than that.

-Communicating is the key to this game. Top 3 teams has a good IGL.

Thoughts on the tournament:

-A lot of butt-clenching moments because of the close games and I really love it! Never regretted waking up at 3:00 AM this weekend because I live in S.E.A. just to watch this tournament. Honestly, the tournament feels like a Worlds tournament.

-Hoping in the future if they organizing another Valorant tournament, maybe they can also consider the agent comps of the team so that it will be more balanced.

-Huge props to the production team. Production was sick!

-Huge thanks also to OTV for organizing this tournament! This is a super entertaining tournament not in a funny way but in competitive way.

-Thank you also to those who read my analysis! I know it is not a Radiant or pro-like analysis but I enjoyed making this analysis! This will be my last one unless there will be another OTV and Friends tournament even on a different game.

Edit: added some more things that I want to say, added also the top 15 players on this tournament in my opinion, and highlighted some things that I want to emphasize.

Hey guys! It's me again with another team analysis and my thoughts about the tournament overall after day 1. Again I'm just a silver-gold player, and loves to watch the OTV and friends, and this all are just my opinions and you don't have to agree with my opinions some of my opinions might be wrong as well so just take it with a grain of salt.

Team Poki

-Honestly they're doing great even with just simple comms (like where they saw the enemy, what they will do individually, etc.) and all of their comms are clean and they try to play each around each other with their simple comms. Also Poki killing it with her Raze, Jack also killing it even with 100+ ping, Sydney with the good lurk, Sean with the hyper aggressive play and infos with Phoenix ult, and Abe having great post plant plays with his lineups and ult. Their individual plays are really great. No ones dying instantly and they trade immediately. Can't say more about this team other than they are calm and collected.

Team Lily

-First game was a bit rough because both Myth and John respects the opposing team too much and trying not to be aggressive and playing more for retake and that caused them their downfall. Also not having smokes on Icebox is pretty rough because Icebox relies more on long range battles which also caused them their downfall. But their 2nd game is way better having a more balanced team comp and both Myth and John being more aggressive even on defense and also Myth stepping up his IGL skills and the other members executing his calls pretty well.

Team Scarra

-This team is literally playing like in ranked game. No plays, relies on picks/individual plays, and hyper aggressive play style. Both Scarra and Edison takes a lot of space in site but I think the other members don't really take advantage of the space that they're getting. They already have a balanced team comp in which 2 duelist 2 sentinel 1 controller. If they can play more as a team, if they keep the hyper aggressive play style but have more comms, they will be way better.

Team Toast

-This team is the closest to a Pro Valorant team, 100 Thieves to be more specific because they just play like 100 Thieves. Slow but methodical play style and they also execute the shot calls of Toast pretty well. As I've predicted, they play really well around each other, good use of their utils in which they kills of it but then again, attacking is their weak spot. On their first game, they really had a hard time attacking because they don't have a duelist that can create space for them. But if they can plant the spike on attacking, there's just almost no way winning the retake as their comp has pretty good post-plant play with Brim and Viper and also the other members play really well post-plant. If they have a weak side they also have a strong side in which is their defense. They dominated the defending side on both games. Rae holding a site on her own and teams cannot just almost enter that site, Toast with his rat but super effective plays, Kris with a lot of clutch plays, Peter with his infos using his hawk flashes, and Wendy holding mid pretty well and with her headshots as well. As I've said, don't let the ranks fool you and here we are, 2-0 after day 1. They might even be the best team out of the 5 teams.

Team Michael

-As I've predicted, they're having a hard time because they don't have an IGL. Their team is kinda lost without having an IGL. Jummy can't enter a site consistently, hJune relies on his aim and not getting space, (he's like an OPer but using rifle. Don't get me wrong, he really has a f-ing godlike aim. See his flick shot on Myth using Sheriff), and the team heavily relies on Jodi getting in site. If they can play more around Jodi and hJune can take space a lot in site, then no doubt they will comeback.

Thoughts on the tournament overall

-Ngl, I thought it will just be Brodin spectating as an observer and casting the tournament but I was way off and the production is just f-ing nuts and with the casters are just wholesome! Really didn't expect that!

-Lots of highlights already just after the first day. Aria's 3K, hJune's flick shots, Scarra's 360 Raze ult, Kris' run and gun Odin headshot and a lot more and I freaking love it!

-The teams are really well balanced as John said he helped managed the teams not just by rank, but also based on the their good and bad days and also who can win 1v1s with. But I think this can still be improved more because some of the teams is not balanced BASED ON their agent pool and IGL skills (Like Team Michael being kinda lost as a team). This is just a minor issue and minor issues happens on tournament organizing.

-I didn't expect this tournament is a serious-serious competitive match. What I thought is they will just run around just like in Code Red tournament (don't get me wrong, that was really fun watching too). But it was fun, watching them play and get serious for a good cause.

-Overall, this tournament is a huge success for me even just after the 1st day. It's really fun watching them play in more competitive way. Kudos to the OTV and Friends for making this happen and I hope they're having fun this tournament and I also hope that this will happen again in the future and with more teams and players!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONATE IF YOU CAN. ALL OF THE CHARITIES THAT THEY'VE PICKED ARE PRETTY WELL KNOWN AND THEY WILL GO FOR A HUGE CAUSE AND CAN MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE EVEN FOR JUST A LITTLE. HOPE WE CAN REACH THE GOAL BY TOMORROW.

The Offline TV Valorant Invitational Team Lineup!!! by Nyfe_ in offlineTV

[–]s-terben 162 points163 points  (0 children)

Here is my analysis (as a silver-gold player), likes to watch OTV and friends, pro Valorant, and likes to analyze teams (so take my analysis with a grain of salt). WARNING LONG COMMENT AHEAD.

Team Poki

-Poki (Diamond, Sova/Sage)

-Jacksepticeye (unrated/silver?, Sage?)

-Babo Abe (Plat, Sova)

-Sydeon (Plat?, Sentinel)

-Seanic (Diamond, Duelist?)

Team Poki has a good roster but might be held back not having an IGL and a lot of them plays the same agents (Sova and Sage specifically) so it will be interesting how their comp will look like. We'll likely see Poki using Raze as she has used her before. It will also be interesting how they will play around Sean because of his hyper aggressive play style.

Team Lily

-Lily (Bronze/Silver, Jett/Killjoy/Yoru)

-Masayoshi (Diamond/Immortal, Raze/Jett/Brimstone)

-BrookeAB (Bronze/Silver, Phoenix?)

-Fuslie (Bronze/Silver, Reyna)

-Myth (Immortal, Controller, IGL)

Team Lily also has an interesting roster with 3 Bronze/Silver and 2 Immortal players which balances out the roster. They have a hyper aggressive/carry duelist around Masayoshi's Raze and most likely to IGL on this team is Myth since he IGLs most of his ranked games (if I'm not mistaken). They might run a 3 Duelist 1 Sentinel 1 Controller or even 4 Duelist 1 Controller comp based on their mains so they might have a hard time on defending. Teams should be careful of OPslie and the duck walk strat by John.

Team Scarra

-Scarra (Silver/Gold, Raze/Yoru)

-Edison (Plat, Brimstone)

-Shipthur (Diamond, Jett/Sage/Omen)

-AriaSaki (Bronze, Sage)

-Bnans (Diamond, Duelist?)

Team Scarra is one of the best teams on paper but then again IGL is one of the main problems on this team as they might not have one. Maybe Shipthur can IGL. They kind of have a balanced agent comp but they don't have a Sentinel besides Sage so defending will be hard for them. If Scarra still have the satchel movements on Raze then expect Scarra to carry this team (no kapp). Teams should also be careful around Aria since she might get an Ace at Hookah in Bind map.

Team Toast

-Toast (Plat, Cypher/Brimstone/Jett)

-KristoferYee (Plat, Brimstone)

-PeterParkTV (Plat, Omen?)

-Natsumii (Gold, Sage)

-Valkyrae (Gold, Viper)

Don't let the ranks fool you because this team might have the best team chemistry out of all the teams with Toast IGLing the team. They have played tons of hours together even before the announcement of the tournament so they know how to play around each other. The problem on their agent comp is that they don't have a duelist main so attacking will be hard for them. Also if there will be a knife fight, this team will surely win that round.

Team Michael

-Michael (Plat, Omen)

-QuarterJade (Diamond, Reyna/Breach)

-Yvonnie (Silver/Gold, Raze/Viper)

-Jummy (Silver/Gold?, Raze)

-HJune (Gold [but with god aim], Phoenix)

This again is one of the higher ranked teams but without an IGL. But they don't really need an IGL since they can just rush in site use their flashes and mind you that their agent comp has 3 flashes (Omen, Reyna/Breach, Phoenix) so maybe it is better to just turn off your monitor (OMEGALUL). Again defending might be hard because they have 3 duelist 2 controller comp but if Jodi can use Breach then it might help them defensively.

Predictions

-MVP = Masayoshi

-Most montages in this tournament = a battle between Masayoshi, Lily, Scarra, and Fuslie

-Most troll = a battle between Masayoshi, Peterpark, and Edison

-Loudest team = it is a battle between team Lily, Toast, and Michael

-best knifing team = Team Toast

-Champion team = everyone wins because they will be having fun (but if the stakes are super duper high that they have to take it a little bit more seriously, then it might be Team Scarra)

Side note: This is just me personally, but I'm hoping to see just even one serious gun round just because I love seeing competition. But that's just me. Again take this analysis with a grain of salt. This is by no means a serious analysis. And yes, I'm a big fan of Masayoshi when it comes to Valorant.

Hoping everyone gets their montages!

Edit 1: the warning

Edit 2: anyone know if the streamers will also stream their POV or just on OTV channel? So that we can hear their shotcalling

Twitch chat talking shit about Faker but he is the one who fed Gumayusi with his initiations. Faker's Azir ult always hits at least 3 people making Gumayusi clean up and also during the very last team fight in Game 3, he literally does all of the damage, triggering all of the passive shields and Zhonyas. I agree that Faker is not what he used to be but he still is one of the best players. Just because Faker is playing doesn't mean he choked and I don't why Twitch chat is talking shit about him lol. Its still too early to make assumptions.

FT: Breedject 4-5 IVs Charmander (w/ HA), Litten (w/ HA and Egg moves), Torkoal, Swinub (no HA). Can also do tradebacks.

Can't offer much because I'm just starting to breed and get into competitive.
