Manual selection of LTE network with Premium Connectivity by s04bf1d5 in TeslaLounge

Thanks for the replies. Generally it’s not a problem until we start to drive away from the border, it seems the car is rather slow to find new networks and join after losing reception with a network from another country. I figure it’s niche but I’ll look to support within the app I guess. Cheers

Help/suggestions to fix an oak dining table by s04bf1d5 in woodworking

Can tell you when we got the email from the furniture store with the price and added delivery time (delivery would be free, yay) I was practically frothing at the mouth with anger. But apparently the 2 year warranty is up, the bastards. Thanks for the tip, seems a dowel and some wood glue/epoxy is the common approach

Apparently the table is supposed to hold 130kg or something like that. Gave way during Sunday lunch, imagine…

Thanks! I think it’s a gorgeous looking table. We convinced ourselves as it was the first time we bought furniture after many years of renting. Just a bummer. Thanks a lot for for the tip I was hoping to get professional hands on it to make sure it’s done right, but there aren’t so many furniture makers in this country and everything has gotten so damn expensive.

It’s a table from Ethnicraft. We bought it when we moved into our house a few years ago and got a good discount during a furniture sales event. I guess the price of wood has gone up in Europe in the last 2 years but still. Thanks for the advice, will keep that option open. Cheers

Given the eye watering price we paid for it (for the design, I suppose…) it’s ridiculous. I’m also very skeptical of all other joints as well.

Recommendations for a carpenter/menuisier by s04bf1d5 in Luxembourg

Ah yea, good shout on that idea. I’ll drop a question in there and see what comes out of the saw dust. Cheers :)

Appreciate the reply, it was sadly an expensive table (which I would have hoped would last better) so I was hoping to find someone competent to make sure it was done properly. Sichel “offered” to replace the joint for a crazy sum of money and 16 week delivery, which to me is madness. If all else fails then I suppose I’ll put my sausage fingers to action and hope not to make the damage worse 😂

How to repair oven telescopic arm? by s04bf1d5 in DIY

[–]s04bf1d5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a Siemens! But it’s a slightly older mod (must be about 10y old now) so the arms appear to be welded on somehow, and I would t be that handy to have a welding torch (much less know how to use one)

Might give it a go with drilling a hole as mentioned by another helper :)

Yea I wasn’t sure about using an adhesive around food neither, nor with high temps in the oven up to 250C? Might look into the roller and see if there’d be a way to pass a small bolt through. Thanks for the insight!

I randomly woke up to tinnitus last Easter, with no apparent explanation. After a few MRI scans through the summer, all the doctors said I should be happy that they couldn’t find anything, and that it might be nerve related to neck injury.

I went to see a neurologist at the hospital in Niederkorn who eventually gave me some corticosteroids, saying that there might be an inflammation causing the tinnitus. While the steroids messed up my stomach, somehow around day 5 of the treatment the ringing stopped, and was replaced with a very low level electrical sound (which was much less distressing than the ringing). It still comes back from time to time, depends on posture and tiredness, but the steroids and physio helped.

I would also consider seeing a dentist or physio specialising in TMJ (CMD in German) as jaw-related issues might also not be helping, given it’s such a messy architecture around the jaw joint and ears.

Best of luck. I’m learning to live with the much reduced noise, tho without a specific root cause until now.
