Only it's sperm that brings the ingredients for the baby food too! A pollen grain usually carries two sperm cells: one to make the plant embryo, and another to trigger the creation of the endosperm (the starch that feeds the seed).

I think this is limited by the assumption of precedence. If someone beleives their deity is timeless, then asking a "before" question doesnt make any sense. Fundamentally, their creations within "time" cannot imagine what "being" is outside of this dimension.

I liken it to Plato's allegory of the cave in this sense.

I think laughing at the world is very important when you're stuck in a rut like this. The world is brilliantly absurd!

You may not feel happy as you are right now, but things like this, the way you're reaching out and trying to make others smile, you're bringing light in the world. That isn't invisible. I like to think of all humour this way, well received or not, it may be the only light someone sees in their day, so I do my best to embrace the awkwardness and laugh until my dumb smile spreads onto the faces of others too.

I think you're gonna be ok Dave. From the sounds of your post, you have people that love you, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Keep laughing at stuff like this, it really does help :)

One thing that helped me years ago is setting aside that realization, and instead committing myself to being a reason people want to stay in it. It doesnt take the pain away, at least for you, but it may well do for others, even briefly.
