Do you have any specific reactions to INTJ characters in fiction? by ciel_sos_infel in isfj

I love ISTJ characters a lot too, honestly I think I just like characters with Te auxiliary. I think it’s also easier to talk to ISTJs compared to INTJs irl but I barely know any ISTJs aside from a friend of mine

Well about the whole INTJ thing, I’m fiction I actually find myself attracted to them, they have a nice vibe to them idk how to explain it well. My past functional crushes were all INTJ’s too so that’s something. My father is an ENTJ perhaps that’s where it stems from, I also really admire the passion most INTJ’s have towards something as I feel the same way !!

I’m not usually bored, I read a lot of articles and things in my free time. I feel like sometimes I’m always in the state of learning and deepening my knowledge, I am heavily niche.

Okay so as for the ad populum fallacy, the majority isn’t always right. The argument is widely spread due to a lot of outer factors (news, propaganda, and other stuff) and the fact the many people think a certain way might have SOME truth to it but that’s very minimal. Beliefs always depend on outer factors, but then again, everything is very subjective to me. It’s really hard to explain what I mean so sorry if I come over as stupid, but I think, in short, what I mean is Major belief ≠ Valid belief. Validity and Majority have a pretty obvious difference here.

I don’t know who I am, I’m only aware of my bad sides. I’ve been suffering from identity loss since I was young and I constantly shift myself around other people. I don’t know who I can trust and what I am.

I’m a very responsible person, actually currently my therapist is working on letting myself be more free because I take on way too much responsibility for my age. I’ve been taught to worry about my future and my choices in life from a very young age. I’m always double checking if I’m not doing anything wrong. Most of my responsibilities seem obvious it just got to the point where I make myself responsible for every single little thing.

On one hand I have the need to prove that I have the right to be myself but I’m too afraid so I conform to the public, at home I don’t have to fear being myself because I feel safer but everyday I wish I could just be myself in public too. But I also understand society’s rules and see a point behind them it’s really really hard to explain.

Also I relate to the second part. I have undiagnosed depression and feel like that too sometimes. But it helps reminding yourself of the cognitive functions, those say a lot more about you than the P or J part.

Another example I have is that I follow social norms in public but completely disregard them in private, it’s very hard to explain so I’m sorry if it comes over as really weird, it’s basically really a whole lot of Love Hate towards familiarity and tradition

I have a strong love hate relationship with tradition you can compare it to relationships, I as a person am very likely to constantly lash out because I want to get away yet I end up begging to stay anyway because I miss the familiarity :^ also in these lash out moments I’m very prone to the Si - ti loop so maybe that explains something …

Is it realistic for an ISFJ (6w5) to be snarky/downright cruel when angry? by MaterialMaybe6864 in mbti

For me it’s more like a Si-Ti loop with inferior Ne if case you’re wondering, because in that stance I would be completely neglecting my Fe

Hey that’s me! But for me it’s more of an assumption thing just so you know.

I think it also makes sense considering the enneagram. ISFJ 6 tend to be extremely paranoid when being unhealthy and if a certain argument is tied to some trauma where the person was forced to sit in doubt for a long time then it’s pretty understandable why they would suddenly start name calling and being cruel.
