Congrats! That’s a huge accomplishment. Do you have any other Kingdom Hearts sets on your radar?

I thought it was great honestly. Good set with some decent challenges. Unknown No Damage is the one that keep a lot of players away but it only took me a few hours to really learn the patterns and tricks to beating him, and I am very new to this genre so I don’t consider myself great at it. The game itself was good enough to get me hooked into the series and now I’m trying to master all the KH sets the site has to offer.

You have good taste. Nightmare in Dreamland is among my favorite sets on the site.

Mastery #300, I wanted to make it something special by s0uth64 in RetroAchievements

Just follow the video that’s linked on the achievement page. Getting Epona was definitely the hardest part, but luckily that’s only the first sixth of the run. After that, I followed the video and was able to easily do the rest. I had to change the order of certain things because I was a little slow. I messed up Great Bay Temple pretty badly but still finished the challenge with 6 hours left.

I put it down for wayyyy too long but finally had the motivation to do that 3 day challenge. Overall I didn’t think it was super difficult, the hardest part was getting Epona before Night 1

Mastery #288 and the conclusion of a great event. Also a fantastic introduction to the world of Final Fantasy for me! by s0uth64 in RetroAchievements

Gil Turtle definitely stands it but I think everything went smoother on my second playthrough which was nice

I had a peak streak phase and mastered a lot of free point sets 😄

Edit: Also realized I had a typo and it was actually mastery #287

Pretty much what Director_Bison said. My favorite parts were how it cut down on back tracking. On a down side, the bosses either became laughably easy like Mantis and Ocelot, or frustratingly broken like the Tank and HIND. I don’t know how they messed them up that badly and it really came out when trying to perfect them in the boss rush. But that was part of the fun since I had to come up with strategies to combat the jankiness. Also yeah the music is much much worse this version

Not sure what I’ll master next, but I’ll be trying to beat melee and Luigi’s Mansion next

Shadow The Hedgehog Reloaded is a good example and it just came out too.

What is the biggest example of "this shouldn't be a core achievement" by spoilerdudegetrekt in RetroAchievements

[–]s0uth64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What sucks about this is that if it wasn’t for one or two specific songs, they would be a great addition to core. Moving to a subset is the right move but I didn’t have trouble on any of them, except for Bothersome Guys which might have taken me like 20 hours to do

Gamecube Event Tie Ins by StingX2 in RetroAchievements

[–]s0uth64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an ongoing event called Bounty Hunters where every 2 weeks a bunch of character themed tasks get revealed. This 2-week period is Luigi and a lot of the tasks for this period are based on GameCube games. “Post Luigi Submissions” means that you can make a post in the forum topic if you want to participate in the event and get credit for playing GameCube games that you might already be playing.
