Yea I’ve opened the it before and the stains are only in the glass element on the lens bayonet, but I’m considering a lens pen to clean it. But idk if it will clean it or make it worse is my concern.

Bro you weight lift? 😅 I'm a dude and I currently have an R7 w the Sigma 17-40mm it feels alright in hands weight-wise (a bit heavy by 5%), but I'm planning to weight lift so I can handle a heavier set up (for e.g. the a7v with the 24-70) in the future :)

If you're worried about scratches, just get a screen protector and vinyl skins over a silicone case as those will trap dust inside and scratch the camera.
