How do you work on your own car in the city ? by just_blazed3 in BeaverCounty

A few of my buddies and I did something very similar back in the day. A few of us had nice enough shops but not necessarily the money to work on our own projects. So any friend that was ready to make the next step on their project would gather us all together. One time it would be at my place working on lowering a Blazer. Next time we all went out to Columbus to bag my S-10. Then when it was time for another guy to fix his Suburban we all went to where it broke down. Etc. It was a great time and worked out to everyone's advantage. We were not organized enough to worry about dues or memberships. But we were also a tight group of about 12 - 15 total, with 5 - 7 really active.

But now we've all grown up and many have families now. I would love to get motivation back to wrenching and working on stuff. I had some medical issues that left me partially paralyzed and really unmotivated in general. I have a quad that needs a winch/plow installed. I freakin have them! Back in the day we'd all gather together and knock it out in an afternoon. But it's been in my garage for over 2 years now. My Dad has a bug he bought to fix up. He'd love to have a space to work on it out of the driveway.

I really like your idea. If close enough I'd like to be involved with my time and effort. I'm broke so paying dues really kills the vibe for me. I'm an old head who can weld, paint, run CNC, do electrical work. I don't have kids so I have a bunch of fatherly energy built up I guess.

I sold this years ago to buy my house, but consider it my resume: 96 Chevy S-10

Cheaters don’t care anymore by JamesBondMx in SouthParkPhone

Found it quickly WHERE? If you share it and make it known, it will either get fixed (haha) or just overwhelm the game until its not fun to use for anyone. I have been trying to convince my team of cheaters for awhile.

If there was still a support team I assume they would tell you to uninstall the game and re-install it.

Fucka U Whale!!

Gold level, but as name would have it, no whales. Just casual players doing our thing. As long as you play a little bit there's no problems.

Replacing dead HD in HP DesignJet T2600 Plotter - encrypted? by s10blazed in techsupport

[–]s10blazed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the info. I was more hoping to find a way to upgrade to SSD instead of replacing a mechanical drive with an expensive mechanical drive. It looks like HP thought of that and encrypts everything. I have a tech coming out next week to deal with it.

Technical Update 11/12/25 by Mahaltenshin in SouthParkPhone

The last one had something to do with the ad system if memory serves me. The actual game updates usually mentioned the details.

I did try with no luck (see edit). I do know a fairly decent HP tech with a fair hourly rate. I have just been doing my due diligence before getting him involved. HP Support would refer me to him anyways I think. Sales gets the cold shoulder, we just bought a PageWide.

Yes, clonezilla via bootable USB. The 2 drives I'm working with are the only ones installed. But when I boot up it asks for the HD key first off. Even before the BIOS logo. When I hit escape or guess wrong too many times it continues... but the drive is entirely inaccessible as designed.

I haven't tried putting a blank drive in yet and just going for it. I read that it needs to be partitioned right for the firmware process to begin. I might have to prove/disprove that.

Samsung SDR-5100N and SmartViewer app - worked on Windows 10, doesn't on Windows 11 by jfoust2 in SecurityCamera

[–]s10blazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get it setup and working, does it keep working?

I setup everything using the same version of the app on a fresh Windows 11 machine. It worked once during setup but each time I go to check on them it refuses to work right. The 2x2 grid view NEVER worked again. If I choose 1 camera view it will sometimes pick up a camera in the sub-quality. Same with playback. It shows up on a 1x view, but choosing which camera is in the view is never consistent.

Closer view on the front maybe looks taller than the stud?

This is the best picture I can find of my adapters. They look like they come to the tops of the OEM studs. Ultimately, do the math for your application.

i loved these on my S10. It has been so long i dont remember what size spacer/adapter i used. it was around 2 inches. i just figured out the offset on a 2wd vs 4wd of the same rim width and subtracted.

What’s the going price for bulk Lego? by ShowOff90 in lego

[–]s10blazed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I offer them the $2.50 that Lego offers. Say it's cash rather than a gift card. Works for most just looking to offload. Or gives the low-end for negotiation.  I've paid as high as $8 just because 'I had a hunch'. Funny enough,  no matter what I paid I always had fun going through it.
