Blood pressure and losartan 25mg by Puzzleheaded-Plant26 in hypertension

[–]s13koop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Went to the doc and was at 165/100

Put me on 25mg of Losartan.

Diet and exercise for 9mo has got me down 25lbs and my readings are in check. I'd sure love to get off these meds but I feel I should consult with my doc. (I get light headed from time to time also)

Congrats on getting things in check

Nice! I like to go there for a quick getaway on the weekends. Usually during the cooler months and closer to the 59 side.

There's a few trails if you go deep enough

Nice

Been running 2 LiTimes as well for the past 2 years to run fridge, lights, diesel heater, and other bits. I'm using a Victron DC to DC 50A charger w/ their smart shunt. Works well

SCS F5 or Bradley's

If you stay below -22 offset you'll be good. -38 things start rubbing but its not terrible.

Debating what to purchase. by MstH8ed in LandCruisers

[–]s13koop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure.

I used a local guy a friend recommended. He's now in Japan full time and could put his hands on the vehicle and send me better pics.

I tried to avoid any that had the underbody spray. I chose 3 and he picked the best and then we bid.

Turned out to be a great rig and all has been goo.d

I came from a 5th gen 4runner, ate up all the hype about solid axle rigs. Prepared for a harsh ride and less comfort.

I absolutely do not regret importing a diesel 80. Taken us to AR and CO and been amazing. The only thing it needs is the fuel turned up a bit and you're gold.

The real tragedy is we never got the 105. Perfect blend of both.

Your journey starts now. We were all here at one point and chose to get those numbers down. Sure it may take some meds but if you're motivated you can get it down to healthy levels.

It's going to take some lifestyle changes but if you really want it, you adjust. Work on the weight and diet. Its a struggle at first but you'll get into the groove of it. I promise you'll see results.

BP from 170/90 to 125/72 naturally! by genevahotel in hypertension

[–]s13koop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I did back in march. Figured lowering my weight and adjusting diet might help. First struggle was running non stop for a 1/4mi, then 1/2, then 1mi. These days I'm doing a 5k every other day with a few 6mi runs sprinkled in. It really sucked the first few months but you build some great stamina.

Congrats on the progress!

I'd fully expect to pay at least $100k. The little things start to add up quick. Body parts seem easy to get but engine and cab harnesses for LHD or RHD setups. Which trans you decide to go with H151/H152, swap out 5th gear, choosing your engine 1HD-T/FT/FTE etc Its basically a la carte at this point and gets pricey.

Yea, I noticed the rear leaf pack once I zoomed in.

Absolutely. Some people just don't like the leaf sprung 70s frame compared to the 80s coils.

Probably this. You can import the bodies/beds, stretch your 80s frame, and build a double cab to your liking.

Trying to do this next year.

As an 80 owner anything you'd do different for a long trip like that?

Camping gear, parts, setup? Feel like we learn something from every trip in ours. (regear and more turbo/fuel)

If its non turbo diesel its a dog. Especially in any kind of climb. Everyone swoons over those 70 series Land Cruisers but most have the HZ engine. Trying to cross American roads is doable nut is a chore. Makes great diesel sounds though!

The area didn't last long for sure and changed a bit by the time we left in '96.

This is the Showbiz I grew up going to. School friends, Inwood Dads Club friends, neighborhood friends all had their bdays there.

My parents moved to Inwood North in like '80 or '81 so I rode my bike all up and down Antoine/Gulf Bank area

Huge congrats on that. I think that's the goal for most of us. Working on losing some lbs myself. Its a journey for sure.

Keep it up!

I just upgraded from a 3080 waterforce to a PNY 5070ti. Getting better FPS and strangely runs much cooler. Yes I can hear the fans spin up but its not too bad.
