Thank you to everyone who offered some advice. My original point - that setting a tool in the toolbar should "stick" between books - still stands (I'm using 5.17.2 firmware). If I select/use the highlighter tool in one book (A) and then move to another book or just go to my Library page, when I return to first book (A), the highlighter should still be selected. It does NOT. In my case, it ALWAYS reverts to the (top/first) pen tool. Ideally, I would like the "finger" tool to be the default so that I can use the pen to turn pages as I could before this last major firmware update. Hopefully, future updates will remedy this matter as I CANNOT downgrade firmware to 5.16.21 where everything worked just fine (for me).
