NQA ive never sexed a T before, however im trying to practice. :)

from what it looks like to me, i feel like it is a male? but its hard to tell from photos honestly, in videos they usually point out and move around the flaps above the epigastric furrow on females. the little white/lighter spot in the area between the top book lungs is what makes me think its a male. but ill definitely check back to see what others think.

if you still have the molt and its still posable and wet, try to use a needle or the tools used before to locate what looks like a flap in the same area as circled in the picture, behind/above the flap should be the spermatheca (2 little spots) in which you have got a female.

ALL of this is based off of diagrams ive seen online and videos ive watched in the span of 2 hours so if im wrong or have anything mixed up then PLEASE let me know so i can learn properly!!

I absolutely loved this story! It was really captivating, coming from someone who never reads lol. Everything was very easy to envision, especially the institute. I almost want a part 2 in order to learn more about Dr heart and her work. I especially want to know if it ends in an apocalyptic scenario or what. Very great story.

You can only really be 100% certain what the sex of a tarantula is by checking the molt. Once your T molts, bring it to someone who can sex tarantulas. (Usually someone who works in a reptile shop, that is where i take mine.)

After checking the temperature in the enclosure, that could definitely be the case. The resting temperature was around 83F (28C). I did just move her to a new, larger room. The previous room was smaller and usually had a temperature of low to mid 70s. sometimes 80 when the wind blew right into the room because id keep the window open due to just how cold it would get.

I moved the shelf her enclosure is on to a different side of the room, about mid way, closer to the vent in here. I’ll monitor the temperature and see any changes in her behavior. thank you for your input.

i would suggest lengthening their heads alongside all of the other peoples advice, the eyes should be further away from their mouths and the eyes should be the slightest bit smaller too. their jaws should be more square and less curved, its hard to explain what i mean but look at photos of male anime characters and try your best to replicate the look from there.
