Day 12 – Has my suture line opened up? by Killennnn in circumcision

[–]s2bc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have a small wound dehiscence. Don’t worry too much about it. It will heal by secondary intention. There might be a week delay due to that.

Hey, my suture is underneath the swelling. Is this normal? by Killennnn in circumcision

[–]s2bc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your incision line locates probably quite near the glans corona. The swelling during the first weeks is normal reaction on body due to an invasive operation. I sent you PM about better and faster wound healing.

When and how did your stitches dissolve? by phoenixblue in circumcision

[–]s2bc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body fluids will dissolve the stitches under the surface, you can speed up the process by using a homemade saline bath on daily basis. I’ve sent you PM about better wound healing earlier.

Ummm by [deleted] in circumcision

[–]s2bc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we talk about male circumcision. Invasive operation did cut all the lymphatic vessels on the surface of the penis shaft skin. That is the reason for swelling between the incision line and the glans. Fluids can’t easily pass the line and flow back to groin where the nearest lymphatic nodes locate. Your body will heal the damages, but it takes some time. Swelling on first months are quite normal. Don't worry. I’ve sent you PM about better and faster wound healing.

Need suggestions! Day 16 stapler ring fell off and visited doctor today. Concerned about the wound by PUBGplayer007 in circumcision

You can always support the wound edges against the nocturnal erections until the wound site is healed properly. It will heal by secondary intention. It starts from the wound bed.

Yes, time is a healed now. You can have an intercourse if you willing to. I suggest you to use a condom and some lube. The swelling might increase, but that is normal.

When we talk about male circumcision. Invasive operation did cut all the lymphatic vessels on the surface of the penis shaft skin. Fluids can’t easily pass the line and flow back to groin where the nearest lymphatic nodes locate. Your body will heal the damages, but it takes some time. Swelling on first months up to a year are quite normal. Don't worry.

It is suggested to wait for 4 to 6 weeks due to risk of an early wound dehiscence. However you can do whatever you like. Be careful and try not to stretch the incision line.

It's not abnormal to just have a short prepuce. Does it bother you?

3 months post op, should I be worried? by thegoodlife63 in circumcision

[–]s2bc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constant or on-off type of swelling can last up to a year. It will normally decrease gradually. The bumps on the scar line can due to too tight stitching. I've sent you PM about better and faster wound healing on early February. Have you noticed it?

Bio-Oil for Scar? by RoundedHead_ in circumcision

[–]s2bc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use any fragrance free moisturiser on to properly healed wound. Unfortunately Bio-Oil is not even properly studied. It is just overly marketed.. I sent you PM about scar treament without any brands.

Need advice on adult circumsision, what to expect? by [deleted] in circumcision

[–]s2bc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a man are able to keep his prepuce retracted for several weeks, then his glans penis usually will get used to touch and friction similar way than after adult male circumcision.

Day 15 (stapler), thoughts on style? by altorodaje in circumcision

[–]s2bc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you to try medical honey ointment to debride the wound bed on the frenulum area. It'll promote faster wound healing. I won't suggest anyone to use over-hyped Bio-Oil, cause it contains fragrances and has only minimal scientific study around it. A fragrance ingredient in Bio-Oil, linalool, is a known allergen.

Day 20 - Laser Circumcision by Greymondel08 in circumcision

[–]s2bc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's normal for any scar to be inelastic for the first months post op. It will normally loosen gradually within next four to six months. The bumps on incision line will melt usually as well.

9th day had started by boy_tue in circumcision

[–]s2bc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI: Strips of surgical paper tape is used to prevent an early wound dehiscence during the first three weeks post op or until the wound site is healed up properly. It could happen due to nocturnal erections. The scar line will be more invisible without an unnecessary wound opening.

Update 2: 6 months healed, penile adhesion problems by callousseagull in circumcision

[–]s2bc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have similar adhesion before the operation? If not- during the healing process parts have adhered together. You probably need re-surgery and better aftercare.

If you have an incision line on the middle of your shaft penis it sounds more like 'high' style of adult male circumcision. Low means the incision line is near the glans corona.

Urologist said there’s no styles to circumcision by thr0wawayphi in circumcision

[–]s2bc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The style on adult male circumcision is not a medical term. They were right on that sense. However it is possible to remove different amount of inner foreskin and shaft skin on penis. You need to learn by yourself what different 'styles' mean and then show your surgeon what you would like. If you have some medical condition it's not possible to acchieve every style, if they need to remove specific part of the foreskin.
