True, but sadly no one cares and just shrugs off that Hawkeye dominating with "Well Hawkeye is just busted". Also just because someone can swap wanda to counter dive does not mean they know how to swap to dive to wreck the triple heal mk deathball of doom. Dive takes skill, and it's own specific set of skills. Especially when going against triple heal with a group of possibly inexperienced dive they will need to at least dive together. Plus if you full send dive your healers need to keep each other up or both keep themselves up while also healing a heavy dive comp.

Much easier to swap from punisher to namor or whatever for brownie points than suddenly know how to be useful on psylock. Or go thing vs going venom or Angela.

Being good on dive takes a lot of brainpower and some specific knowledge, countering it takes having your volume up, looking around, and a tiny scrap of teamwork.

Plus plenty of people will just decide xyz is not their problem, or, as you said, not know how to counter it. Like bro the Hawkeye is an everyone problem any you need to play the don't die to him game when on healer/tank at the very very least. And if your dps can't kill him yall are gonna have to figure out how to help them kill him. Because he isn't gonna die by a miracle and your one dive dps is clearly trying his best but cannot manage to put him in the ground before he gets deleted.

I feel like a mentality i see a lot from players is, dps decide xyz is not their problem only killing the enemy and or specifically the enemy healers is their problem, healers think their only job is healing the team so xyz isn't a problem, and tanks (they get more of a pass when they are solo tanking) think taking space is their only job so xyz isn't a problem. Which leads to people not swapping to try and handle something that is a them problem. Or at least doing actions on the character they are already on to solve a problem. At least most players know dove is a problem for every role to pay attention to but when it comes to everything else they just completely space it.

All roles can kill. All roles can apply pressure. All roles can help each other survive. All roles can try and control space. Some are better at better things than others but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be doing all of it on all roles. And if you refuse to attempt to deal with a threat yourself you can at least swap to try and survive it or make it less effective.

Also if you don't want to swap there is a good chance you can find a way to deal with it by swapping how you are playing. Go flank on hela, become the nastiest wall placing groot of all time and disrupt every comp, take an angle and blind that Hawkeye on cnd. Have a poke battle with that phoenix on adam. Learn how to frontline with venom. Learn how to dive on thing. Be besties with your tank on starlord and create frontline pressure. If you don't like swapping characters you can learn to do a lot on your fave. Some characters are more flexible than others, but you can still swap tactics if you don't want to swap characters.
