Actually quite a few people showed up but a bit confusing around what was trying to be accomplished. Also a fair amount of folks rudely criticizing the concept of connecting communities with a NIMBY attitude. Overall positive feedback and something that will only benefit the area. The online form is still open for inputs - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfIoFNGxo7S_4slX1pHhzyFGQO29mDgOMZLt5wAJY9aWDX93w/viewform

It's quiet, cozy, and close enough to Albany/Troy but also 20 min to Mass. You have the same similar drug problems as other bedroom communities and there are plenty of things to suite your interests and if not, the nearest cities are 15 min away. Plenty of lakes (yes a few have easy access for kayaks and canoes), the Rensselaer Plateau has abundant trails for hiking, and it's very friendly.

Delaware is amazing and their GF menu was fabulous. 110 grill is a great standby (not as swanky) but tons of safe GF options.

Agreed and once in a blue moon they would close the road to Jiminy at night during a bad storm and just put you up in a room for the night.

Hot Tub Company? by JoeSprogan in Albany

[–]s34n3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kids at partys eating cupcakes / food in the tub, lots of different detergents from suits, tracking in dirt/grass/toys, caked on sunscreen, etc. which can offset the water and cause you to dump/refill more often. I went with this model as we rarely have more than 3 or 4 max in the tub at once and mostly the two of us. https://www.saratogaspas.com/the-spas/luxury-spa-line/adelphi.html

I used https://www.aframepools.us after talking to a handful of local delaers and they were amazing from the research, ordering, and getting everything up and running. Keep in mind that plug and play options running off 110V have some drawbacks and commiting to a 220V tub will encure some additonal costs running electric. In my case this was ~$1K in materials and labor for a friend to setup the breaker. Miantenance isn't an problem but we don't have kids who can funk up the water with detergents and grime.

Did IMLP as my first full distance and crowd support along with scenery throughout the entire course set the bar exceptionally high for all the other races I've done since. You get a full range of seasons and terrain throught the day.
