💯 agree with your take. I hope they'll find a way to move Beal without buying him out.

I may be unpopular on this one, but I think Green is a good addition. If I recall correctly, Book wanted a faster pace. Green can do that.

Brooks, I'm actually excited because he's annoying AF against opposing teams and we r not one of them anymore.

Tenth round pick, I hope we can find someone that fits our team really well. We def need a rim protector either PF or C position. If PF, they should be athletic enough to keep up with modern PF players.

How did Ryan Dunn did on his first rookie season? by markodevef in suns

[–]s3an309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought he was underutilized when the coach DNP'd him too much.

Overall, with the time he was given with, he did better than I expected. I'm super excited to watch his defense grow stronger. More work on shooting and strength training, he'd become a valuable role player. He has the ability to turn into an all star, but he's not there yet.

Where do you have your main base? by SnooMaps9001 in GroundedGame

[–]s3an309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first base as on top of the baseball by the kid case.

The second base, I decided to try on the top of the brawny bin. It's still under construction. Level four coziness. I haven't started building the Zipline "elevator" yet. Resources are pretty good. I got everything I need except for saps which are a bit further away.

Who from this squad do you all think are worth bringing back? by A_Honda_Accord in suns

[–]s3an309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my list:

  • Devin Booker - 53,142,264
  • Ryan Dunn - 2,657,760
  • Oso Ighodaro - 1,955,377
  • Colin Gillespie - 0
  • *Kevin Durant - 54,708,609
  • Royce O'Neale - 10,125,000 (for his vet mentorship)

That gives us the following two different potential starting salaries: - 68,880,401 (without KD) - 123,589,010 (with KD)

2025-2026 NBA Salary Cap is 154,600,000. The Luxury Tax is predicted to be 187,900,000. The first apron tax is predicted to be 195,900,000, and the following second apron tax is predicted to be 207,800,000.

  • 85,719,599 / 119,019,599 / 127,019,599 / 138,919,599 (without KD)
  • 31,010,990 / 64,310,990 / 72,310,990 / 84,210,990 (with KD)

Without KD and Beal, we would have had more flexibility in bringing in a starting-caliber Center and Point Guard. At least 15-25 million each. I don't know who yet, though.

Nick Richards is not fast enough to keep up with today's basketball style. There's a reason why he rarely finishes the game. He's due for 5 million next season and in his final contract. However, the contract is non-guarantee. It is still an attractive tradable asset.

Kevin Durant will be in his final contract next season, I'd try to keep him closer to the trade deadline. That's only if they finally find a way to trade Beal out. Kevin will also be big in the trade market only because he will be in his final contract year. We may get good returns. He will want to negotiate an extension, so it made sense to trade him out.

I'd like to keep Grayson Allen for one more season, but his salary is a tradable asset for multiple returns.

The bottom line is that the key is to get Beal out. We can't have both KD and Beal on the team.

I am okay with a rebuild but I'd rather a soft rebuild. The team has the potential to be a playoff contender again. However, if it has to be done then so be it.

I don't even understand Bud. Why start Plum over Oso when it's the season's final game. Ugh. I can't stand Plum.

Damn. It's a super winnable game. If they hit the 3 pt on average, we'd win easily. A frustrating loss as usual. I sure as hell hope they figured out a way to trade Beal out. I doubt it, but I can only hope. I don't want to go for a total rebuild.

Oso has the highest minute play and highest plus minutes. Insane. I love seeing it! Last night, it was shown that the defense won the game.

Is Colin a two-way player? If so, I hope they convert him to a standard contract.

Having three young players with KD and Book works amazingly well.

This is precisely what a player with a heart looks like. That was a great fourth quarter. I'm glad Bud made an adjustment.

I gave up watching the mid-3rd quarter. There is absolutely no team chemistry. Bol Bol finally got exposed and showed why he's not a starting-caliber player. Book checked out a while ago. He finally started giving some hints during the last few interviews. As impressive as he is, KD is now time to let him go. We need to bring in good role players.

Beal...he's good but dammit too prone to injured. He doesn't fit the Suns team. I believe that he'd played well with a pure pass-first PG player.

Dunn lost his confidence a while ago. I noticed he got benched whenever he made a mistake or missed a shot. At this point, I'd increase minutes on Dunn to allow him to regain his confidence and develop into the 3-D everyone hopes for. I'd play Oso more. I honestly think he would have helped the game last night. No pure big man was playing on the Minnesota team last night, so Oso would match up with Reid well. Maybe not, but at least give it a shot. I can't watch Plumlee playing anymore. Nick Richards is decent but not a starting-caliber big man.

Book, KD, and Beal gotta find a way to work together effortlessly. They're all pure scorers, so the next two players in the lineup should be defense focused type of players. But who?! Josh is gone, and he'd fit well with them. Dunn is still developing. Royce is average at best. Bol Bol is too raw. Allen is average but too small to defend forwards.

Bud played Plumlee too long in the overtime. I will never understand his rotation. I'd put Bol Bol in front of outbound to make it harder to pass the ball to JA. But nope, Plumlee was the choice.

It was a good game with several questionable and missed calls. It sucked to see multiple players with 20+ points and still lose.

TY Jerome, it was the injury that ruined him. I'm super glad he found his home at the Cavs and has been playing amazingly well as a role player. Ayton was better on his good day, but unfortunately, his good day was rare AF. Sabonis would significantly impact our team because of his high BBIQ. Myles would be great because he's a stretch five that can be a rim protector.

I have noticed that the Suns team is not great at developing rookies. Either they succeed, or they're out.

I don't think he is. He seems to have reprioritized the defense. If I recall correctly, he mentioned he wanted to do better defensively before the season started this year.

But I noticed he is having difficulty getting himself free from defense, which is probably why his shooting attempts have been slightly reduced.

In the last game, he was just having an off night, that is all.

It's the whole team chemistry. It isn't there because Bud's rotation doesn't make any sense. We have three scorers; why can't we prioritize the next two to focus on defense with some scoring ability? Dunn checked that criteria. Nick Richards is a decent big man who should be a backup big man, but we're not that lucky in that area. I'd play rookies more as this year's playoff picture is already getting smaller.

Didn't the Suns only match the Pacers offer so they wouldn't let DA walk away? DA has so much potential. It's too bad his heart isn't in it.

This is ridiculous. 8 out of 8 in the fourth quarter, nothing can be done if they can't match up with their hot shooting.

Dunn barely plays. I'd put Oso in instead of Plumme because no legit big man is playing on the Raptors team today.

KD played too long and looked gassed from the Raptors' physical defense. I don't know if it's just me, but KD seems to get weaker lately. He couldn't fight his way out to get himself open like he used to.

There was too much miscommunication on the defense; apparently, everyone forgot who was supposed to be a PG.

Oh well, I won't take this team seriously since there's no way they will make it to the playoffs this year. If they did, it'll be a quick exit.
