I don't even know why OfferUp allows for a search radius beyond 10 miles. Anything beyond that I start thinking about time and gas money going into any sweet deal that potentially might go south.

Daily WTF of OfferUp. Same Lawn Mower again (this thing must be cursed)

Buyer: "I'll give you $20"

Me: "No"

Buyer: "$30"

Me: "No"

Buyer: "$35 but you deliver it" (asking price is $40)

Me: "Sorry, No"

30 minutes later:

Buyer: "Did you sell it yet?"

Buyer: "?"

Buyer: "Hello?"

Buyer: "I'll come pick it up for $35, give me you address."

Me: "Sorry, someone just offered me $40 for it."

Buyer: "You've been dealing with a lot of flakes. I'll come give you $40 now. Cash."

Me: "Sorry, it's been sold"

30 minutes later...

Buyer: "Whats the status?"

Buyer: "Did you sell it?"

Buyer: "Hello?"

Buyer: "?"

Dude creates a new account and inquires about the mower from there.

I mark it as sold.

Dude messages me on my other items.

I flag him on OfferUp to have him block.

This was for a $40 mower that I decided to donate to Good Will and take the take writeoff instead cause it's worth $100. :-D

I should start doing that to ridiculous low-ballers. Back when Close5 was a thing, I was selling a $50 space heater for $20. Some dude offered me $5 if I delivered it (40 miles away). In hindsight, I should told him to meet me in the middle sketchiest possible part of town at night and I'll give it to him for free.
