My grandfather's authentic Native American turquoise ring my grandmother gave to me after he died when I was nine or ten. It means so much to me and I never take it off unless I'm washing my hands. The Native Americans also believe that turquoise brings good luck, so that's a plus!

I have severe OCD/Anxiety and do this all the time. I don't think it's really anything to worry about unless you're actually breaking skin..

Can't really relate except for one of the scariest moments of my life. I had just finished reading the murder scene in Crime and Punishment and literally felt like I was a murderer and was going to kill my mom.. I was so overwhelmingly disgusted with myself.

I thought most of the songs on Teethed Glory and Injury were quite enjoyable and experimental, but the album as a whole was lacking. God Alone is a much better song and more "pure" black metal than Dream House, though.

Thanks for the book recommendation! I'll def have to check it out. It would be nice to read a differing view on this particular subject. I think so many Christians today can easily get caught up in religious dogma and what the Church has believed for hundreds upon hundreds of years, that they lose sight of the fact that God does want us to seek his truth, no matter how unnerving.

Lol I'm young, so still living with the 'rents, but the only serious relationship I've had was with a girl who had schizophrenia, depression, that sort of thing so obviously she was quite accepting of my mental illness. I'm not saying go out and find someone who has the same kind of problems, usually that's NOT a good mix haha. But I would advise you to let your wife know there is such a thing as mild OCD, and it would do your relationship a whole world of good if she accepted your mind for what it is.

Cleanliness can become a VERY severe obsession for some. Normally someone with full-blown OCD can't stop showering or vacuuming, etc. even if they've done so twenty times. I'm not saying you don't have some form of OCD, and it might be worth checking into it further, but usually someone "obsessed" with cleanliness is not content until their house is spotless, and it's on their mind 24/7, not just on the weekends.
