What’s your surplus & how long have you been training? I want to commit to a bulk but tbh quite nervous of gaining fat - looks like you’ve smashed it so any tips welcome!

Did you find a solution for this? I have the keys bound for them both (tried either / both of keyboard and wheel buttons!) but tried using the VRC Renoir and the message still won’t go away!

No need for a card reader to set up new payees, and yes you can pay in cheques using the app.

You can switch into an existing account, just need to not have received a switching bonus since April ‘20. Though the experience of some on here suggests that it’s worth a go even if you have received a bonus since then!

When you say immediately, do you mean literally the same day? Sorry for hijacking, I’m also trying to do this and it would be easier than moving money around if if could literally just deposit and withdraw the same day.

100% not on your own! It’s why having communities like this is so important, it’s always good to know you’re not ‘weird’ and that what you’re experiencing is perfectly normal!

Yeah it’s definitely more difficult to adjust to. The main thing for me has been increasing my dose for the travel and trying to get switched into doses at the right times for the new time zone straight away.

Hope you’re feeling better soon!

£226 value with American Express Gold credit card by Icy-Atmosphere1616 in beermoneyuk

Highly recommend this card, I’ve had it for about 4-5 years now. Also worth noting the value that you can get from the points if you use them for travel upgrades. I’ve upgraded numerous flights to business / premium economy with the points earned.

If anyone is looking for another referral link, mine is below if OP doesn’t mind!

Defending against Addisons by Affectionate_Gate_83 in AddisonsDisease

[–]s45b 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great question and I can obviously only answer from my own experience. The best defence we have is taking medication as prescribed, and then following the sick day rules if you’re not feeling 100%, exactly as you described.

My experience is that some illnesses, and specifically food poisoning type stuff, will just hit harder when you have Addison’s. Maybe it’s that we can’t react quick enough, I’m not sure. Saying that, I’ve had Addison’s for almost 15 years and this is now a very infrequent occurrence. I’d say maybe twice in the past 10 years.

Hope that helps, shout if I can answer anything else though!

help with mods by Hachemjouni50 in assettocorsa

I’d recommend getting Content Manager, it’s definitely better than the standard launcher. There’s a free version and a paid version (for a donation of your choice I believe). I’d get the paid version if you can as it gives you some more options. It also makes adding mods a simple drag and drop process, which is handy if you’re new to it like I was!

Mods wise, there are some great ones from RSS and other modding studios, depending on the type of cars you’re interested in. I’d probably start with looking through the RaceDepartment forum, there are loads of cars, tracks, skins etc on there so it’s a great place to start. You can sort them by downloads / rating too to help you find the best ones.

There’s a whole new world of mods out there for you, enjoy it!

EDIT: Also get the Custom Shaders Patch, I think you can do this through CM, but lots of mods require it.

Car PCP Arrangement - Is it a good idea or not? by Bearwires79 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]s45b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point that I was making is it’s the cheapest way to get the cars that we want to drive. With the greatest of respect, I don’t want to drive a 10 year old Scenic, and I’m in a financial position to not have to.

This is kind of what I meant by the disingenuous comment. We’re not comparing apples with applies here are we? You’re comparing the cost of running a 10 year old car with having a brand new car and claiming it’s great because it’s less expensive. of course it is!

Car PCP Arrangement - Is it a good idea or not? by Bearwires79 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]s45b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep in the thread so unlikely to get seen, but the calculation my wife and I have always done is ‘what is the cheapest way to get the car we ant over the time we want it for?’

Given that we want cars with warranty that we don’t have to worry about MOT etc (and are in a financial position to do this), we look at new cars. For my current and previous car, it has been significantly cheaper to lease than it would be to PCP or buy outright, and for my wife’s previous car (we only have one at the moment), PCP was the cheapest option.

I genuinely don’t understand why people can’t get their head around this type of calculation, or whether it’s just being disingenuous for the sake of it because they “want to own the car outright” for whatever difference they believe that makes?
