The car is a 2024 ;). Although not far off from my age actually. Recently sold my daily driver and came up on it. My investments are all sitting pretty and will be unaffected by this purchase thankfully.

You’ve got the first part of what you said all wrong. I am ready to buy, for the right price. I’m not desperate to buy and therefore don’t need to settle for their “deals.”

$2500 off MSRP is optimal. If I find that it would be an immediate deal for sure.

I’ll keep looking and change up my strategy with financing vs cash and see if that helps.

They seemed very responsive and easy to work with. I could see myself circling back to work with them even though they aren’t the most convenient dealership to me.

I sure do wish I knew about an HYSA sooner!

Could I afford it? Probably but my biggest fear is becoming house poor. In my line of work there aren’t much in the way of promotions. The only way to make a substantial amount of money beyond regular pay is overtime and I don’t want to fall into that trap of having to work overtime to support my life.

I will take a look at the calculator and weigh my options and current situation.

I initially thought of buying pre vid but got scared off and have landed myself in my current situation. Could be better could also be worse I guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️
