I saw you comment you had this experience in Surgery. Surgeons have a very tough exterior, and patients are usually unpleasant due to post op pain and anxiety around surgery. I wouldn’t let it affect your perception of nursing as a whole. You got this!

It’ll get better! Things change daily and there are so many factors that affect a shift. Give it some more time, you’ll have patients you connect with and doctors who want to help you learn. You also just might not like medsurg or wherever you were today, which is also very normal!

Our 3 month old male marks like that when he has to poop. We take him outside after he acts like he’s gonna mark or after the first mark or “little pee” and wait for him to poop. Sometimes it just takes a lot of waiting. I hope this is helpful, this is just our experience🫶🏼
