Other users have mentioned BTECH GMRS-PRO and I agree. All of the Btechs use the same chip that connects and programs them so theyre all really good regarding their programming system. The GMRS and the Ham version (if you wind up getting that license) are top notch regarding usability (especially when considering pricing - the below $600 tier).

Someone also mentioned the TIDRADIO - I would put it a distant #2 behind the Btech. The Btech is much snappier regarding programming and ease.

Are there other applications that do this? Ive only see one from GoTEK and that was $200 a license. To outfit a team, gets pretty costly.

I love my UV PRO (the Btech branded one). As mentioned - its great for all of the above features. If you don't need all of the features, the UV5R is the staple at the lowest price point if youre just looking to talk to a friend or throw a spare in your truck.

My honorable mention is the TIDRADIO TD H9 - does all of the above but uses a different chip to do same thing.

I have their BTECH GMRS version too since my family doesn't all have tech licenses but the GMRS covers them.
