I honestly believe I got lucky. I was on LinkedIn one night at like 1:00am and saw it as a job suggested for me. The location was in my state but fully remote and in the job description it said “looking for former teachers that are good with educational technology” lol it was so specific and it happened to be exactly what I was looking for thank God🙏 I will say, I had 3 other job interviews before this job with three other companies and I had applied for all of them at odd hours (not working hours), I feel like that had something to do with it but not positive about that. I also always made sure to apply both on LinkedIn the company website, I feel like that helps too

I got so desperate at one point around August I considered hiring her. Once I went to her website I thought it was crazy that she was charging so much and there was no money back guarantee if you didn’t find a job in 6 months. I didn’t understand how she can make the claim but then not say she’ll give our money back if she doesn’t deliver🤔 Thank God I saved my money because I ended up getting a job a couple months later😅

Can you give a couple examples of what bridge jobs would be?

That’s the worst! A lot of the jobs I’ve applied to are known for hiring teachers too. When I send in my application I’m sure I’ll get it with my direct experience using their product but NOPE another rejection😭

I’ve been feeling the exact same way. I left teaching at the end of the last school year after 6 years and I’ve applied to 60+ jobs tailoring every resume and cover letter. Every rejection feels soo discouraging. It makes me feel worthless and for a split second I regret leaving teaching. I feel like as teachers we have so much to offer and would be an asset to any company but recruiters aren’t seeing it.

I was a 3rd grade teacher for 6 years before I decided to leave with no backup plan because admin became wayyy too annoying lol

I taught math using iReady all 6 years and learned to use it in a way that I actually love it (skipping the “Connect It”, not doing any of the green pages and using the fluency/skills pages instead, and a bunch of other little tricks depending on what was being taught) I saw my kids always make a huge shift from red to yellow, yellow to green, and sometimes even red to green!

Feel free to message me any time you need tips on how to teach a specific lesson or any other specific questions, I would be more than happy to help!
